  • I might get kicked out of Cali for saying this.... I hate In and Out!!!!! It's so gross. And their fries. Blah! Taste like Lays potato chips!!
As the official CA LOVES In N Out ambassador, yes, you have been voted off the island!! /gavel. I love them. Keep it simple, same menu (for the most part) for decades and they're not on every other flippin corner. I like their business model as well as their food. In fact, it's the only fast food that DH and I will eat.
I want to go to Cali simply to try In N Out.  We don't have them here in Indiana.

Call me old fashioned or what you will...but I think it's very important for wives/moms who work from home or stay at home with the kids to still make an effort and look good for their husbands at all times; do your hair, put on make-up, wear normal clothes (or at least attractive "comfy" clothes like yoga pants). Not only do I think this is important to entice your husband and make him excited to come home to you at night...but it also majorly boosts your OWN self esteem. I'm a big believer in the phrase "when you look good, you feel good!"

And yes...I am totally that woman who will be wearing makeup to labor and delivery (AND PROUD). :-)
There is only one part that I disagree with on this, I don't think women should do it for "their husbands." I think that anyone that works at home or SAHM should make an effort everyday to be put together. Even if this just means clothes changed, hair brushed and some mascara. I think there is something about staying in pajama's all day that makes people less productive, and feel yucky about themselves.  Two of my sister's were SAHM for a long time, one of them always had her hair and make-up done and was dressed for the day and her house was normally always cleaned and managed well, the other sister stayed in sweats, no make-up, and ponytails, and she struggled to have a routine and keep her home in order. Part of this may be just simple personality differences, but I know that personally I feel better about myself and I am more productive when I get dressed, do my hair, and do my make up on the weekends.

I despise chain restaurants. I won't be caught dead in an Applebee's, TGI Friday's, Olive Garden, etc. I'd rather support a local business and eat higher quality, more creative food.

This, but I will freely admit to having a special place in my heart for Five Guys...as in I could eat their burgers upwards of 5 times a week.  But the Applebee's, Friday's, Olive Garden set...nope.  DH worked at an Applebee's when we met and informed me that everything came in frozen.  I just don't see the point in paying for that.

Mine is that I can't stand the NFL.  I could not care less about all things NFL, including the Superbowl.

Love me some Five Guys (it always sounds dirty when you don't specify "burger" somewhere in the sentence).

Also love the NFL though.  I only care about the Super Bowl when my team is in it though.

I think it's pretty funny that a bunch of pregnant ladies have a ton of UO about food, so I'll join in :-)

I don't like pasta.  I will eat it, but I will never order it out and if it comes as a side I always try to get something else instead.

AHHHH!!!  I start my GD diet this afternoon and the thing I'm saddest about not being able to eat for the next 2 months is pasta.  I could eat it everyday.  I pretty much do if DH is out of town.  I was in heaven when I was in Italy.

Actually, you may still be able to eat pasta. I'm on a GD diet and had penne and meatballs a few times this week. My 2 hr glucose was at 115 or lower all three times.

  • One of my FB friends that I haven't seen in at least 10 years sent me a message reminding me that she makes blinged out zebra and leopard print baby girl onesies and hair accessories. Barf.

My unpopular opinion is I hate anything in zebra or leopard print except zebras and leopards. I hate when grown women wear it, and I especially hate when I see little girls in it.

I don't know dude. My makeup is WAY too expensive to waste it on not leaving the house. Andplusalso, the time I DON'T spend prettying myself is spent cleaning my house. So, at least the house is pretty even if I look like a scrub!

  • I don't get why people care so much about grey hair or scars. Everytime I see commercials about covering up or getting rid of them I just roll my eyes. I've had a ton of grey hair since I was 15 (they got worse when I got KU) and I couldn't careless. People always ask if I realize I have so many and I'm like yeah, I own a mirror I just don't care.

Is this unpopular? I may be speculating because I see so many commercials.

  • I am morally opposed to anything on a "pretzel bun". Ugh. What is with the sudden obsession with pretzel bun burgers and hotdogs? Every time I see a commercial for one I either get irate or nauseated...
  • I am going to get it for this one. Heart you ladies. I don't understand the appeal of tattoos that aren't meaningful. If it has a decent meaning for you then I view it more as art. I hate hate hate the Asian symbol tattoos. Do you know how many people have gotten symbols that don't mean what they think it means? And I can't deal with face and neck tattoos.
I can get with you behind neck/face tattoos but I'm down for meaningless meaningful tattoos. My DH has a ton that don't really mean anything but they're so flippin sexy. He has a small shark and I love it because I bought it for him on a Friday the 13th, other than that it has no meaning.

  • I hate the Big Bang Theory. It's not funny at all. And the constant laugh track drives me nuts!
  • I might get some hate for this but I hate Dr who... Now I've never seen it before and the reason being the fan base.... Sometime it's almost as bad as the twilight fan base... Bring on the hate... Lol

Also I have to agree with the not liking breaking bad... Just can't do it... :/
  • My biggest fear is turning into 'that' frumpy/unkept/frazzled mom...not just for dh but for for me. Oh there are days but I insist on going to the salon for my cut/color, treat myself to new clothes & good makeup....look good/feel good!!
  • I agree....trashy!!
  • I hate when I prepare a big dinner and when it's done I don't even want Any!! I'd rather feed my man Nd eat a bowl of cereal , but if Simone else made it I'd have two plates. So weird
