She is SOOO hairy. Like back, arms, ears - it's adorable, but like, gorilla baby adorable? She doesn't have baby fuzz... she has a freakin' pelt.

I was telling a friend that DD1 was such a pretty baby, like right away, but DD2 is like a hairy little troll doll. She said, "She is really cute in a different way. Like something you would buy in a gift shop."

And she is right.

What is funny is that with both babies I wanted to have hairy little beast babies because I was a hairy beast baby. And I am an evil mommy because I didn't let the photographer who took her newborn photos take out any of her fuzzies.

Oh! And she has a giant patch of hair at the top of her butt crack that catches poop like a sponge. It takes like 3 - 4 trips with the wipe to get even a small amount of poop out of my swarthy baby's ass.

Yep. My baby may not be a "good baby" and she may be a "colicky baby" but she is my hairy little panda baby!

Sorry to go off. Getting to talk about my furball's awesome pelt makes me happy.

All of our August 13 babes are really cute, of course mine is the cutest (not at all biased of course

), but in all serious I haven't seen any of ours that have faces only a mother could love and trust me, I'm an L&D nurse and I have seen some not so cute newborns. I just had an idea! We should hold a bump wide competition instead! June vs July vs August vs September etc. we would totes win lol

My son was ADORABLE when he was born. Like fresh out of the womb, adorable. No weird blotches, nothing. Then Natalie was born, and it took her a couple weeks to grow out of that squished newborn face. Now she's darn cute
