  • Welcome! Im due 12/30 with a baby girl. Why are you high risk? What type of complications have you had?

Well with twins it automatically makes me high risk, i have type two diabetes, blood clotting. And a lot of protein in my urine and are risk for pre e. at this point i do not have pre e and no high blood pressure.
  • Congrats and welcome!
  • Hi & congratulations & welcome aboard!!

I try to take it as easy as possible. My husband is out of state working and saving to find us a place and im here with the five year old, who yes is in school all day still gives me a run for my money.

I can barely bend over or do simple things, i nap like five times a day!!!!

But as of now docs arent worried about anything.

You only gained 1-2 lbs during this pregnancy and you are pregnant with twins? Something smells off....https://forums.thebump.com/discussion/12087811/weight-gain/p1

Yes, that does seem off. I hope your doctor is concerned about your weight 'gain'.
When I was pregnant with triplets, I had to put on as much weight as possible up front to give them a fighting chance.

If they were they would have said something on wednesday. I even brought it up.

I was 235 when i got pregnant and got to 237.

I asked about it and the doctor said they werent worried because the babies are growing the way they should be and right on track with my due date.
  • But then again, i am also only drinking strictly water and watching my diet.

I don't know dude that doesn't sound right at all....I am not normally one to look into weight guidelines but if this is real person posting I would seriously get another opinion.

So because ive not gained proper weight, and have told someone else blunty im not a real person?

I go back on oct 14. And ill be bringing it up again. But again, i drink strictly water and watch my diet.

And ive been to two separate offices, and both have said that because i had a higher bmi then what they like for a pregnant woman, ill most likely mainttain my weight.

But im also sure by the time i deliver ill gain more weight. Im still in 2nd trimester.

You're high risk, pregnant with twins, and are only having monthly appointments?

Lol, just because i have twins doesnt mean i need to be there every week.

After my oct 14th appointment ill be back in two/three weeks at 32 weeks, at that appointment ill be in twice a week.
  • Plus if you're inducing around Thanksgiving doesn't that make you a November mom? Please?

No. My due date is 12/26/13

With as many "complications" as your pregnancy has, you seem to really not care about proper prenatal care/concerns.  You just laugh it off like we are idiots.  We are assuming, maybe that is our problem, that you are a legitimately pregnant woman in a high risk pregnancy with twins.  You could care a bit about the fact that we express concerns over your care...

Trust me i care. I spent all weekend last weekend in inpatient at the hospital because i was having headaches, dizzy, blurred vision couldnt walk , couldnt do anything without wanting to pass out, and they refused to do anything until i told them they WERE NOT sending me home until they figured out what was wrong.

So i do care, i just find it funny that women on here who barely know me and want to judge me because i voiced my bluntly honest opinion about something are going to tell me that my drs are wrong and etc.

Trust me, ive already put my foot down and have told them that i refuse to see the dr i saw on wednesday and she had no idea what she was talking about.

We believe they have me on too much insulin, and we are monitoring my symptoms for the next few days.

The babies are weighing what they should be, both are getting more then enough blood/fluid to them. They move as much as they should be (and if i dont feel them for awhile i call in).

Now of course baby b is a tad bigger then baby a, but that is normal for twin pregnancy.

But after oct 14, they will start to monitor closer.

  • Plus if you're inducing around Thanksgiving doesn't that make you a November mom? Please?

No. My due date is 12/26/13

But, you are inducing a full month early.  Therefore, you would be having your twins around 11/23-26...Making you a November mom.... I'm Just saying...

Im just saying when i plugged my due date in this group showed up.

And twins always go a month early.

  • So because ive not gained proper weight, and have told someone else blunty im not a real person? I go back on oct 14. And ill be bringing it up again. I'm a plus size mom as well and I've gained 36 lbs at 28 weeks. So I'm calling BS on your doctor telling you you'll maintain your weight because your BMI is higher.

  • OP you are getting overly defensive and rude to woman that are legitimately concerned for you and or babies. You are new here and so far from all your comments in this and other threads you have been harsh. If you have everything figured out and don't really care what anyone has to say than why are you here?! Not to mention you are having your babies in November...

  • And as far as your insulin goes... are you checking your blood sugar? You'd know if you were getting too much. Even if you weren't checking it you would know... you would be weak, and shaky, and have a feeling similar to being intoxicated.

  • We are judging you, not because you were a hateful wench to the girls on here, but because you say some pretty outrageous things that don't make any sense.  I'm overweight too.  My dr told me to gain 15-20 pounds.  I'm sure that other girls are probably close to the same weight as you are, and have been told to gain weight.

PS, your situation ending up in the doctor's office the other day, pretty serious stuff.  Did you call your OB immediately?  Did you see an OB?  Or are you just waiting for Oct. 14?

You mean last week? I called my ob ASAP. And spent all day in L&D last Thrusday until they admited me, and left on Saturday evening. I was at my OB on Wednesday because i had a prenatal.

But trust me that if i feel the slightest bit off, i am on the phone with the doctors.

This is really not a complex mystery that requires time to find out.  If you're getting too much insulin, your blood sugars should be going low.  Since I'm sure you're checking your blood sugar quite regularly, and probably even more if you think insulin is the problem, I'm sure you would know for certain if that was what was giving you issues.

Actually there is more then just levels going too low. That is a factor.

But my issue was just an UTI that went un noticed.

We keeping track of how im feeling, i had stopped taking the insulin for a few days, and we knew that at that point it wasnt the insulin, but the UTI. So right now we are monitoring my symptoms, which seem to be better with the UTI being treated. So once im done with the antibiotic for that ill be keeping a lot closer eye on my symptoms.

And if i feel off then ill be calling my OB.

But right now, my goal is to try and stay out of L&D or the OB office til my next appointment. But if something happens ill be there in a heartbeat.

K, I'll go back and look. I wish I hadn't missed all of this
initially. Could have been much more lively.

They are just mad because i told that poster she shouldve had a back up plan ad not been so bent that her family cancelled on her because they probably felt that she didnt want them there anyways. And got mad because i called her out on not accepting what everyone was suggesting.

People suggested to hire a sitter, and op that wasnt possible, although there is still three months left that she could really get to know a sitter. Or set up snacks/dvds for the girls. And again, there is still plenty of time to join mommy groups around her and bond/trust with another mom to either come watch or take the girls.

Probably. I wasnt trying to be mean.

But then she was shutting down everyones ideas.

But i also never understood why she was mad because she said she didnt even want them there.

But anyways, this isnt her post. This my post introducing myself and trying to connect with other women.

All of this is irrelevant.  You were a hateful wench to that OP.  You told her you didn't care if she lived.  THAT is NEVER okay.

BUT, none of that is affecting the issues we have presented with your prenatal care.

    WRONG.......

That was towards to weddingal or whatever her name is. I just didnt quote her on it.

Id NEVER say that to anyone.

And this is our way of telling you we're not interested. Go to November since you plan to deliver then.

Also, you said you have Type 2 diabetes. How long ago were you diagnosed? How do you not know if you're on too much insulin? I'm with @superspecialsnowflake on this. Makes no sense.

    Wow.....it does make sense.

I was diagonsed two months before i got pregnant. And was told i didnt need any medication at that point because i could lose it with weight lose. Lost 10/15 pounds got pregnant.

My first dr told me i had to test after each meal, and in the beginning i wasnt taking care of myself. So they put me on glyburide, my new doctor said it wasnt working and put me on insulin, a week later they were still not happy with my levels and increased it.

Then i started to get headaches, dizziness, couldnt walk straight, blurred vision etc. so we thought it was too much insulin, hence why i was in te hospital last weekend. They found nothing wrong with me, saw the eye dr, a neurologist.

I was sent home, went to the ER tuesday and had an untreated UTI.

Wednesday they put me on insulin before each meal. But now i need to wait for the UTI to go away to determine if it was just the UTI or it is the insulin.
  • All I am going to say is that I have been on TB and lurking long enough to know that the fake ones are almost ALWAYS pregnant with multiples or have high risk pregnancies.

    Just putting that out there.

    Yup im fake...

    Want picture or something?

Idfaff if you think im fake or not.
