37 weeks 1 day: 1 cm 50% effaced, GBS neg, fundal measuring 40 cm, bp high
38 weeks: no cervical check, bp still high (higher than last week) so blood work/24 hours of peeing in a jar ordered. Bed rest until test results are in. Blood work came back normal, urine collection test results on Friday. Fundal measuring 38 cm, baby has DROPPED!. Contractions have gone from tightness/pressure to menstrual-crampy. Lots of pressure/some pain in pelvis and hips.
Transferring care from midwife/birth center to hospital due to high blood pressure. Pending results of urine test, possible induction next week. They are treating me as though I'm mild/moderate pre-e until the urine tests results are in. So, bed rest until further notice it is!
37 weeks. Asked the OB to check today because I have travel plans this weekend and wanted the info. 3 cm and "very thin". She did give me the OK to leave town this weekend though.
37w3d - 3cm dilated 80%+ effaced (was 80% effaced at 36w3d appt, OB didn't mention it at this last one), head VERY low. Mild menstrual cramps for the past few days. Think I lost part of my mucus plug yesterday...so we'll see.
OB thinks this will happen before October, BUT she said that with my first and he was a week overdue and had to be induced. Things do feel different this time though...more contractions and gravity seems to be having a greater effect than it did on my DS.

i have no idea why everyone is getting checked so early.
I was told by my OB that she does cervical checks at 36 weeks because she is down there already! But aside from that it's the only one she will do unless you request it! (aside from once you are ready to deliver)
"Down there already"? Unless you're talking about running errands or travel plans, being "in the area" does not justify a quick trip to neighboring territory.
Today i'm 38w 3d, OB wants to do a check on monday, Last week in L&D I was 37w2d and was 4cm and 60%, I'm not overly excited though because I always dilate early. Today I somehow got the bright idea to go hiking with the kids and walked 8kms, so maybe that will help move things along.
35w3d and the nugget is head down, dropped, and still cookin'. No cervical checks for this mama, so I have no clue if I'm progressing beyond that. What I do know is that as of yesterday, the fluid on his kidneys has stabilized, so the perinatologist has taken the words "early delivery" off the table. \:D/

My DR checked me today since he did strep b test. This is the onlu time I am allowing it. He asked if I wanted to and I said yes bc of all contractions i have been having etc.

This. I am 37 weeks, 4 days and have yet to have an exam. My OB said she would probably want to do one at my 38-week appointment this Friday and I think I'll allow it only because I've been experiencing some pressure / cramping this week which is new so I have a feeling things are starting to progress!
35w 2d - 2cm dilated, 60% effaced. Due date is October 28, but doctor says to plan on a week early. This is my only cervical check until I present at the hospital in labor.
36 wks 5 days and have had no contractions, haven't been checked. May let them check at my 38 wk appt because they want to sweep my membranes at 38 wk 5 days, but I'm still not sure if I'll allow it...
37 weeks. Last week I had some contractions and lo is moving down. Next week we will be doing the membrane stripping. My dh is in the state for the next two weeks so I wouldn't complain if she came a bit early so dh could be there. I am not looking forward to the procedure though......
38w tomorrow, declined cervical checks so I don't know how things are going but I haven't had any contractions, BH or otherwise and things seem generally fine. Unless I walk for too long at which point it feels like he's either going to fall out or I'm going to pee.
At our "growth larger than age" ultrasound at 36 weeks he was measuring full term and 7-8.5 pounds already and they called him "90+ percentile" at least 6 times so we scheduled a C-section for Monday, 10/7 (due date was 10/10) assuming that his growth rate was going to continue at the pace of 1/2 a pound per week for the last few weeks.
If I go into labor before that, fine, we'll see how it goes and they'll monitor progress closely to see if I can safely deliver him and if not, we'll just move to the C-section anyway.
