I'll be having a RCS on 12/2. My last day of work will be the Friday before Thanksgiving week which is 11/22. I wanted that week before off to get everything ready, cleaned & organized before the baby comes home.
Probably until I go into labor. I don't have that much leave and I want to spend it all with the baby after she comes instead of sitting around all miserable.
Until I can't or go into labor. My OB's office and hospital is literally down the street from my office, so it would actually be more convenient to go into labor at work (not that I want to).
I'm due 12/14, and I haven't decided if I will make the 13th my last day if I go over. I'll have 12 weeks off, and I'd really like to have as much time as possible with LO.
I may take a vacation day during my last week or two of work depending on how I feel.
I'm given five days "other paid time off" before my due date, but since we have three paid holidays at work the following week, which is the week before my due date (December 29th), they are giving me the week before that off. So, although I haven't discussed the actual date with my boss yet, HR and I figured it out and my last day worked will be December 13th (if all goes as planned).
I am due 12/10/13 but I am done working 11/29/13. I was going to work up until my due date or at least until 12/6 - but no. I am sick of this place and need a little time to destress before my baby gets here
I'm a SAHM now, but with DD I chose my due date as the 1st day of my maternity leave. I didn't want to waste much leave beforehand. She was born 3 days later, so I did have a couple days to relax and put my feet up.
My short term disability is weird and if I don't go out 2 weeks before my due date or baby (and use PTO in the process) then i don't receive two weeks of my STD payments. It sucks that I have to go out early, but I'm hoping LO comes a little early this time around. Last time he came on my due date.
I'm due December 21, too! I'm going to use a week's worth of vacation time starting the day before Thanksgiving, and then my company offers two weeks paid pre-partum leave so i'll be on leave officially starting December 7.
Nov 15. I have 2 weeks vacation I have to use plus the Thanksgiving holiday. Then I get two weeks fully paid that I wouldn't be able to push until after birth so I'm taking them
Working till baby is born. Work is ok with that. I just prefer using my LOA time with LO. Yes, when you're 40 weeks and pregnant and still working, it's miserable.
Oh wow! I guess I should of mentioned I won't be going back to work for a while ( atleast a year after ) so I can stay home with LO. So Im not worried that if I leave too early I will miss time with LO after! I hope all you ladies get lots of LO time before you have to go back to work! (:
My Due Date is Dec 19th, I'll be having my 3rd c-section sometime between Dec 12th-19th, I am only taking the day before my schedule date off, to give me time to get my hair done, go grocery shopping and clean my house that day, before dropping my other 2 kids off w. Grandma that night and leaving at 4am the next morning for my RCS at the hospital 2 hours away! Baby #3 and i've got this down!
My job doesn't hold it against your time for post baby recovery if you go out for say back pain, or swelling before the baby is born, ots considered a seperate illness. I have an appt the Monday before thanksgiving about 4 weeks before my due date... It's pretty common for most of my colleagues to go out 3-4 weeks before their due date. So that's my plan as long as my doctor agrees. My maternity leave starts once I'm discharged from the hospital. So long story short ill be out approx 4 weeks before my due date.
I'm due 12/5 and I will work up until the last day before Thanksgiving Break, which puts me at 38w 6d. I want to be at home with the baby as much as possible.
I am due 12/29 and plan on working until 12/23. My company shuts down from 12/24-1/6 so hopefully LO will come during that time and then I can start my maternity leave. I'm only taking 6 weeks off, possibly will be working from home for a few weeks after that.
Im leavind Dec 7th and sue Dec 10th.. I know moms want to spend all the time with baby as I do too.. But want a couple days to prepare myself mentally before the big arrival I dont know how long mat leave is in the US but here in Canada its a year so I have lots of time with baby
Assuming I am healthy and feeling well, I am plan on working until she comes. I am due 12/18. I want to save my vacation time for when she's here, not before.
I am working until my due date (which is the last day before break for us anyways) or until I am told not to etc. I can't justify leaving before then when I am more than likely taking the full time after I can
My RCS is going to be scheduled on or about December 11th. My last day of work is the day before thanksgiving. I know I'll be ready to get out of there. I work on my feet all day and I know how uncomfortable I was last time. Plus the timing works out well since its the end of the marking period for my students.
I commute an hour to work so with due date being 12/14 I won't be going into the office after thanksgiving. My boss is so flexible and will allow me to work from home.
My last day will be the Sunday the 17 of November. I will be just over 37 weeks at that time (chose to leave on a Sunday because it's the end of the spy week and wanted it to be as easy as possible). Figured with the last couple weeks I can do any last minute prep that needs to be done prior to our LO's arrival.
I'll be having a RCS on 12/2. My last day of work will be the Friday before Thanksgiving week which is 11/22. I wanted that week before off to get everything ready, cleaned & organized before the baby comes home.
I am a control freak at work and can't stand sitting around so I have always worked up until the day I go into labor. I drive myself crazy sitting at home or at least I did with my first one and I can't stand thinking of anyone screwing up my work at work.... I may go insane while I am actually out of the office after I give birth. I am due on Dec. 4th so I plan on working until the 6th (I am always very past due) because my inducement is set up for the 8th/ 9th.

They're going to have to deal with it if I go into labor while teaching
Met 9/2001
This- i worked until the end. Even a half day the day before I was induced at 41w 3days
I got pulle out of work at 29 weeks due to horrible psd. Also, I'm high risk, so they were very quick to pull me out of work.
