Hi All --
My little guy is 7 months old and still has moments of
hysteria in the car. What begins as a slight whimper turns into full on
hysterical screaming and crying within a few minutes. It seems to boil
down to the fact that he doesn't want to be in the carseat. I can only
guess this because before we leave home, he's fed and changed. He's not
in pain because the moment I take him out of the car seat, he starts
playing. I've given him toys to occupy him, we sing songs, and we play
little games. But, none of this helps because he eventually goes into
crying mode.
This doesn't happen every time we go somewhere,
however, its often enough that I'm starting to shy away from taking him
anywhere. Are any of you experiencing this? Any ideas for keeping him
calm?
Thanks,
Kate
