I have a personal stylist on retainer. I just have to call them when I am admitted and they come straight to my room.

the hospital where I work we wont allow things like hair dryers, straighteners, heating pads and blakets etc... were very strict about things that plug in and those things need to be approved by maintenance (they take your items, test them for hours and return them to you 1-2 days later if not right before you leave)

Id call your hosp and ask

I took one with my DS and used it. I'll bring it this time too. Nothing better than a shower and clean up the dat after delivery! It made me feel much better/normal.

Nope! But I have curly hair that dries fine without one. It is on my hospitals packing list, but I just wouldn't want to deal with it. Standing up and bending over to dry my hair is just not something I want to be doing pp.

I'll be happy if I shower at all! Def not bringing a hair dryer. If I manage to wash it, it's going in a wet pony tail!

I brought mine last time and will again this time. And (gasp!) I put on some make up. Nothing felt better after labor and delivery than a nice hot shower and cleaning myself up.

I'm bringing mine because I definitely plan on showering at some point and I hate sitting around with wet hair (its long and thick and takes forever to dry).

You won't be drying your hair ... I think you will be far to exhausted and in recovery . Get some dry shampoo !!

I had someone give me the advice of bringing things to make me feel more like myself and presentable.. her suggestion was jewelry. MAJOR side eye to that one.

I loved being able to shower and clean myself up, so I'll be bringing my hairdryer. I'm like PP that doesn't want to sit around with wet hair.

Yes. Did it twice before and will do it again. And for those who think they won't shower trust me you're FUNKY after giving birth. I would not want to sit around for two days with all that crap all over me. The world will not end if you take 10 minutes to shower.
