Get ready for a dumb one!

Baby bottle soap... is it worth purchasing a completely different kind of dish washing soap for baby bottles and breast pump parts? I know there are a few different kinds geared towards being "baby friendly", but it seems a little excessive. I am trying to convince my H that separate baby everything is not a necessity, please tell me I'm right! I'd like to win this one!! lol

    Definitely NOT necessary.  We use the same dish soap for dishes, bottles, pump parts, etc.  You can just use one like Method which is a bit better than Dawn, for example.  Unless you have a 30 gallon jug you'll need to replace your regular dish soap at some point in the future...

    Not necessary at all.  I use blue dawn on everything.  (stains too!)

    Not necessary.  Hell, when I was in the NICU with my son they gave me a bottle of Palmolive.  I do have a bottle of the baby soap but only because someone bought it for me.  If I didn't have it I wouldn't use it.

    I didn't even know this was a thing.

    We use the Target brand of Dawn. I've never even thought about looking for a "baby friendly" version.

    I think this and "baby-friendly laundry detergent" are in the same boat for us.  We find them to be unnecessary but are in the process of switching to more natural products as we use our current ones up.  We made the laundry detergent switch to Charlies (because that's what we'll use for cloth diapers) last month when we needed to buy some and we'll switch to a more natural dish soap when my current bottle of blue Dawn is gone.
