I hadn't even thought about that. I'm feeling pissy and butt hurt that I was about to unload a vet question onto her about something that happened at the end with Knarla that upset me. So I was feeling very embarrassed that I was about to ask her advice about something personal and upsetting.

I feel dumb for not seeing the signs everyone else did.

Do you think it matters? I am bummed about Packer but probably for different reasons then anyone else. I never asked for vet advice because I would ask my dog's vet for that but I'm bummed because her and @holls2011 (her DH) are my Persian connections. Was she really Persian?! Dammit!

I think that she is the person that she says she is, just not her profession. I think that if you considered her a friend, she probably thought of you as a friend as well.

I did not consider her a friend, so I'm not trying to stand up for her character. I'm just saying that I don't think that her entire persona was a complete fabrication.

I can see Packer wanting to protect her job if it was sensitive in nature. That makes sense.

But she should've just come clean from the get go or not mentioned her job at all. The cornell thing she could've played off as being like Andy Bernard. It was the lying that got her in trouble, ultimately.

I never saw anything suspicious in Packer's posts. I wasn't that close to her and I really didn't care that much.

I'm shocked. I guess to me there's a difference between lying about your profession and blatantly advertising yourself as a Cornell educated veterinarian. No one pressured Packer to lie about what she did for a living, she volunteered this information about herself at every turn. That's the manipulative/malicious part.

I don't appreciate someone outright lying, but I also know not to take what people say as 100% truth. I know she was generally nice to everyone, so I don't know how okay I am with the shit talk. I always imagine this is the kind of crap that will happen when I go (cue serial killer jokes) and its really uncomfortable, more uncomfortable than her lying in the first place, and definitely more uncomfortable than having sex in the back of a VW bug.

She wasn't nice to Crystal and she wasn't nice to me, FTR. Crystal tried to burry the hatchet with her but she said some pretty vile shit along the line.
