When to start trying...

If you are planning on another LO...when are you planning on starting to try?

It took me 2 years to have our DD. We used clomid. I'm not sure if the Doc will want us to try naturally for over a year again, or if he will have us use clomid when we are ready.

Am I totally insane for thinking this already?

I miss being pregnant and am loving being a mom...but the thought of 2 in diapers is scary.

MH and I want our kids to be close in age, so we've discussed trying again shortly after this LO turns one. Maybe the spring before, but I'd like to celebrate/experience everything with just one first.

We're way done, but we waited 2.5 years before TTC this time.

I nursed for 20mo the first go round and really wanted some time for my body to be just mine before I gave it over for another 2+years.

No, you're not crazy. We went through 3 rounds of iui after ttc for almost 3 years naturally and I've been thinking about another LO also. I didn't enjoy being pregnant, but it worries me thinking about how long it took to have this LO. I don't really want 2 in diapers but I also don't want them to be too far apart in age.

We will stop preventing once LO is 2. I wasnt "supposed to" be able to get pregnant but obviously I proved those 3 drs wrong so I'm anxious to see if #2 will be possible.

Eta- to see if #2 is possible haha, not 3!

Um. Maybe never. If we do it will be like 5 years from now. I could never handle 2 under 2.

We will likely start trying next fall. I'll be turning 35 soon and we had two losses before DS was conceived so we would like to start trying sooner rather than later.

I can't imagine having more right now, but I'm sure that'll change. Once LO is a year or two we'll talk about it again. I really want us to be more financially stable before we try for #2.

I'm done. Mine are almost 2 years apart. It's hell. I'm sure it will be worth it soon...but it's hard right now.

Our original plan was to have them 3 years apart. Turns out getting pregnant the 2nd time is way easier.

My oldest are 18 months apart (5 and 6 now). I wanted them 2 years apart, DS was a surprise baby.

We debated years on having a third. So we have quite an age gap! We are finished now.

all of the above - except mine are almost 3 years apart. We started trying when our first turned 2, thinking it'd take awhile, and we wanted them 3-4 years apart. It took 1 month. (With our first, it took 9.) These last 6 weeks have been extremely trying. I do not have the patience for this.

My boys are 3.5 years apart. I would really like to have one more after this and would want to wait about the same amount of time (about 2-3 years).....DH doesn't think he wants any more though. =(

We might be one and done. If not, it would be after Austin can walk because I'd get a RCS, and won't be able to carry him around.

Really depends what MH and I end up doing next. We're kind of in the middle of some major moving decisions, so that would decide when we'd start trying again. Wasn't easy getting pg with LO, so i'm not really looking forward to trying again. But, if we have more then one we want them close. So... who knows.

As weird as it sounds, i'd kind of like to wait long enough then when we tell people the response isnt "already?".

We'll start when LO is 1. DH didn't even want me to go back on bcp, but we agreed just for a year. It took us a while and three rounds of clomid for this pregnancy so I'm nervous it will take time again. Hopefully charting early on will help me figure it out.

SO wants to start trying again in three years after we're both graduated from college.

Personally I would be okay with just one but if we do decide to have another it will probably 5 + years.

I think maybe once LO turn 18 months we will stop preventing. I think this will be our last and I want them close in age so they have each other. My son and daughter are 3 years apart. They are spaces well but I might like them a bit closer.

I have been thinking about it although it seems insane to me now. Before we had DS I thought it'd be nice for our kids to be 2 years apart. Now that he's here and my EBF is going well (I plan to BF for a year)... all I can think is that I only get a few months of having my body to myself before we'd be trying again. Right at this moment I'm not sure I like that idea, so we'll have to wait and see...

These last 6 weeks have been extremely trying. I do not have the patience for this.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels they are going to crack somedays! One afternoon after I finally got DS1 down for a nap I just had a big long cry. And then I was okay again. I've never been so busy in my life. Glad DS2 is here but I do miss life with one sometimes. It was so easy!

Hopefully we'll great pregnant late summer/early fall - we want our babies close. We'd like four so the plan is to try and get pregnant around the youngest's first birthday each time.

I want to start trying 2 years from when LO was conceived. I want 2 more and ill be 31 next month so if I space them out every two years I hope to be done by my mid 30's. But who knows how life will play out!

We're not sure if we want more than one since we dealt with 5+ years of infertility and a round of IVF and now Charlotte's heart condition. If we decide on another it will be at least a year before we try with our frozen embryos and more than likely not until after Charlotte's heart surgery/recovery.

We will probably start trying again when this LO reaches one year old. We want them close in age. Also DH is 8 years older than me so he's eager to have all our kids sooner rather than later. Definitely having 2..but may have 3.

We started trying when dd1 was 11 months and it took us 6 months to get a BFP. If we have number three we will most likely start trying again when this lo is 11 months.
I like having the two kids 2 years apart and ill be 35 soon so I don't want to wait to much longer.

Xander and Serena are two years apart. We haven't sorted everything out yet but we plan on having another one when Serena is 3 or 4.

Mine are 21 months apart. We started trying when DD was 11 months, thinking it would take a while since I was still BFing and hadn't gotten my period back. Got my BFP that month. We'll probably have a third, but I think we'll wait until this one is closer to 2 before trying, and DD1 starts school. I like 2U2, but not sure I'm cut out for 3U3!

If we decide to have another we will stop preventing when LO is 1 or 1 1/2. I want them to be close in age. DH said he's scared to have another, but the only reason is that it could be a boy (of course he would love it just the same) he just loves having a little girl.

This is our plan too. I'm 38 now, so who knows how long it will take to conceive again...if we even can. Fingers crossed!
