We have girl names all set but haven't had the same luck with boys.

I asked him to pick five he likes. Here is the list he came up with.

Middle name will be John.

I was going to say Harrison John and then I realized that was a character on the tv show Popular. And then I realized most people probably don't remember that show, so, what I'm trying to say is that I like Harrison.

ETA: I really like Emmett too. I missed that on first glance.

Reese & Rory: it's tough for me to shake the feminine feel, since knowing girls with those names. (IRL and showbiz)

I really like the other names; I also think that John would work great with any of them.

Reese- LOVE the name but prefer Rhys on a boy
Rory- love this name but it almost has a feminine feel to me. Can't really pinpoint why
Carter- I have always loved this one
Austin - This one seems out of place on this list (different style) I don't have anything against it, it just doesn't do anything for me
Cooper- I have really taken to this one recently, really like it
Emmett- like it
Harrison- like it

They are NMS but not bad names by any means. Emmett is my favorite. FWIW, I prefer John as a FN to all of them. We were considering it for DS.

I think Harrison is my fav as well but I'm worried that ppl will nickname him Harry! (I am the biggest Harry potter fan so people will all think I've named him for that reason!) or am I just over thinking it. I know Harris could be his nm.

Reese & Rory are both girly to me. Reese/Rhys is super overused IMO.
Carter Is ok but doesn't seem like it will age well.
Austin is good
Cooper reminds me of a pet name.
Emmett Really like!
Harrison Is a last name to me, not a first name. It's NMS but I wouldn't side eye it.

I absolutely LOVE Rory. If we were having a boy, we would probably use that name. Emmett and Austin are nice too. Carter makes me think of a 90's boy band. I've never really cared for Reese, it makes me think of the candy. My friend has a dog named Cooper so I don't think of it as a human name. Harrison feels trendy to me, but it's ok.

For those who say Rory seems like a girl name because of the Gilmore Girls show, you have to keep in mind that the character was not actually named Rory. She was named Lorelai after her mom, and decided she wanted to be called Rory as a nickname. It is most definitely a boy's name!
