Suggestions for 3 mo old baby girl

I have a 3 more old baby girl and I feel like there has to be something I can do to be more interactive with her. I feel like we just sit here looking at each other all day. I want to do something to stimulate learning and just something to entertain her in general. What do u ladies suggest :)?

  • I mean 3 mo old. . . . Damn auto correct lol

  • activity mat- where she can lay and look up at things, mirror (DD loved her penguin mirror), tummy time, play music & sing. Enjoy this time! :)
  • Too much stimulation will overwhelms her. My DD is a bit younger but she could lay on the floor staring outside at the trees all.day.long. Bonus points if there is a stream of sunlight. She's also suddenly in love with the mobile on her swing. I just play music, talk to her, let her big brother torment her...she LOVES watching him

Activity mat, reading books to her, talk to her (I used to put DDs in their bouncer and narrate making dinner), take walks. We also had the Baby Einstein ocean mat, and both girls loved it. Eta- my girls really liked the Eric Carle board books, especially Brown Bear, Brown Bear.

  • DD was pretty easily entertained at that age, but I liked activities to keep myself from getting bored. I put her in the Ergo to do chores, long walks, tummy time outside, blow bubbles, read lots of books. One thing she has always loved is listening to music. I think I had a couple of little toys for her like Sophie giraffe, and an activity mat.

Other than tummy time, enjoy the portability! I met with friends a lot for lunches and stuff when DS was 3 months old. It's much more difficult now that he's mobile. I have to do stuff HE likes instead of whatever I want :)

But activity mat, DS LOVED the kick n' play piano. Best toy ever.
Ditto the kick n play piano, DD LOVED it.  Now that she is crawling she will actually crawl to it and play on it.

Like others said, enjoy this time.  There isn't really anything you need to be doing with her right now.  If you need to do more for your sanity, go for walks, meet up with friends for lunch/coffee/whatever, walk around the mall, join a mom's club, etc...
