FFFC. We've had SS 3 weeks in a row, this weekend my parents will have DS for the majority of the time due to a family wedding. I'm so looking forward to some quite time, even though we'll be with DS at nights and all day Sunday...some adult time is much needed. We'll also have him 3 weekends next month too. I love the extra time with him, absolutely but we don't get him often so weekends with him include no quiet time for adults.

Open Letters:

Dear Co-Worker,

Please do not walk by my desk and tell me to get to work. You haven't done shit and you are going to cause the rest of us to have to work weekends. You cannot possibly work if your rear is never in your chair. If you can't take the department managers hints, I don't know what will work.

My FFFC: I was thinking about going part time at work, so that my childsupport would go up. Not because I need the money, but because I hate my ex and would love to see him struggle even more with money. His gf doesn't work, they are crammed into a 2 bedroom apartment with 5 people and have 1 car. My ex is a gambler, so that is where a lot of his extra money goes, at least it used to anyway. Thankfully my H is level headed and gave me the side eye and suggested that I don't.

I started posting mine and got caught up with work... Dear work, I am exhausted and need a break so I decided I would take one and left two hours early. I don't feel bad since I worked last night until 9. See you on Monday. Dear DH, I am so proud of you for how you talked to BM. You had a productive and civil conversation with her and I'm hoping that she takes the things you said to heart. I get frustrated when I see her make decisions that are detrimental to SS, and you sit back and let her. I haven't said anything about the fact that she lets him stay home alone, got him a cell phone and let's him stay up until 10 pm on school nights because I am not his parent, you are. I'm glad that you called her out on it, without being nasty. I'm hoping she has some what of a conscience and realizes that you are not the problem when it comes ro coparenting; she is. Dear SS, I'm not looking forward to your teenage years when you are already attitudy at 10. Stop being lazy, stop being disrespectful and give us back the sweet little boy we all know is inside. Dear DS, Sorry that mommy is working so much lately. She misses you like crazy and can't wait to spend some quality time with you this weekend. Stay cute and stop growing up so fast.

My FFFC, why in all things good and right have there been no ketchup flavored chips this Summer? Oh, why, oh why? I have been looking for them since May! They are only seasonal (at least in this area), and they keep me hanging on during the holidays. I cling to the memory of tangy ketchup-y taste when the Christmas rush is driving me insane. And now my Summer saving grace is no where to be found?

Where have all the ketchup chips gone?! Ahhh!

My vent:

Damn it DH...I told you that our flea issue was something to worry about. I told you I wanted to bring the dogs and cat into the vet for Rx strength (i.e. what fucking works for our area) meds. But NOOOOOO

So now the CAT, not the one that goes outside mind you, has tapeworms.

And you expect me to believe that the OTC dewormer is going to work JUST AS WELL as the OTC flea protection?

In the southeastern United States, most over the counter prevention products don't work. Our parasite population is simply to strong and has become immune to a lot of the products out there. This means fleas, heartworms, and intestinal parasites.

For tapeworms, you should be able to go to your vet and get a dewormer that either covers everything (hookworms, roundworms, whipworms, tapeworms, etc) or just covers tapeworms without having to take your cat in to the vet as long as you know how much they weigh. Most vets will dispense dewormer. Occasionally you find a butt head who won't. Profender is an awesome product for cats because it is a topical, we all gate giving cats a pill.

Then you must get your flea problem under control which I know you're trying to do. Comfortis is a great monthly flea prevention (though a pill) since you said Frontline wasn't working in your area (most southeastern US states have pRoblems with frontline now if fighting an infestation. Just as maintainable the updated Frontline Tritak is often ok. and your yard/house you just have to attack full force with everything you can. Lol.

Also, just in case you didn't know, heartworms are extremely prevalent and are resistant to ivermectin products like Heartgard in the southeast as well.

Agreed...It's down right shitty and flameful. I hope that if you do go part time, the judge sees your intention and denies your request for more child support.

LOL relax... I agree it is shitty, and as much as I'd LOVE to see my ex struggle even more with money, I am not that kind of person to acually do it.
