bassinet to crib

I am thinking about not getting a crib right away after my baby is born because he will be sleeping in a bassinet in our room to start off. How old was your baby when s/he started sleeping in a crib (if you had him or her in a bassinet first)?

    My DS is still in the bassinet.  We are moving him to a crib in a month probaly
                     7/08, 1/12, 2/14, Due with baby #4  2/12/16

    DS was in a bassinet for the first 6 weeks.  He outgrew the one we had and I'm happy that he did. I did not realize how terribly I was sleeping while he was so close by (I woke up at every little noise or movement).  It was great for the convenience of nursing him in the night though...

     ditto.  i sleep way better now that ds is upstairs.  We made the switch at about 6 weeks.
