Here's two I can get a pic of while sitting down. I also have one behind my ear and a dandelion on my side(we shall see what pregnancy does to that one.
Well my side was my 1st. There's another dove above the cross that you can't see. It's for my cousin who passed away. And then there's my arm right after I finished my last sesh. It's a heart with black diamonds and wings, a key hole in the heart with blood coming out. It's bleeding on to three black roses, which then turn into fully bloomed bright red roses. Also a bible verse and song lyrics.
I don't have a picture of it, but my first is a quote written sideways down my back in cursive. It says "Stars cannot shine without darkness" because I'm a nerd like that.

How very softly you tiptoed into our world, almost silently, only a moment you stayed. But what an imprint your footsteps have left upon our hearts. - Dorothy Ferguson
I have 11 but can't get pics right now... I've got a small turtle on my lower back, lotus flower on my foot, angel on my ankle, 3 stars on my wrist, my oldest DS "autograph" on my forearm, all 3 of my kids footprints from birth, a sparrow with 3 cherry blossoms on my chest with a quote on the other side and FEARLESS on my ribs with the breast cancer ribbon as the L.
Here is my tattoo. It's in honor of my grandmother who passed away in December of 2011 from breast cancer. Strongest woman I know. We were close. She battled cancer for 11 years! Love and miss her dearly!
First one is an Egyptian symbol above the insige of my ankle that I will be getting covered up as soon as I can. Second one on the inside if my right wrist is for my DHs nephew who died last year at 6mo old. Last one over my left shoulder is for DS. I'll add to it in pieces, my whole left arm is reserved for DH and my kids
I also have 2 more that I can't get pics of right now. One on my lower back of a drawing a friend of mine did in high school, kind of like a star. And a cross on my left hip
Here's two I can get a pic of while sitting down. I also have one behind my ear and a dandelion on my side(we shall see what pregnancy does to that one.
I don't know if I have access to any of mine! I have a side piece of flowers and a crown on my right (DD tore that up, darn stretch marks and it's a cover up), a heart on my left hip (again stretch marks), the word Love on the outside of my left foot and Fate on the outside of my right with a butterfly (butterfly is for my miscarriages); the words form a circle well sort of) when I stand with my feet together. I'm definitely getting more
(I had some pics on my phone! The side piece is freshly done here, it's now 5 years old)
I have three. Planning at least 2 more. I can't get pics of any of them. First one is a small butterfly in flight in my right shoulder (I plan to add a design with forget me nots, punk & blue, for my grandparents & my dad), a 4 leaf clover on my lower left back & a sea turtle with a plumeria flower on the side of my right hip. I also want to get a tiny purple ribbon for pancreatic cancer on my wrist for my dad.
This pic is from fresh out of the chair in 2010. It's inspired by a Black Hills Silver ring DH gave me. It's my favorite piece of jewelry (besides my wedding ring). Plus the Black Hills are gorgeous. Plus my daddy's family is all from South Dakota. I also have DS's name on the inside of my left wrist. This LO's name will go on the right side when s/he is done BFing. I HATE needles and swore after the shoulder piece that I wouldn't get another tattoo... now I find myself obsessing over a gorgeous piece I saw on Pinterest with roses and vines going down the whole length of the side. WANT!
I have 4: the first is after the last session I had done before our BFP. I have 2 more sessions to go and its a mermaid skeleton with personal meaning.
The stars on my clavicle are the three corner stars in every page of the HP books. The red finger bow needs to be re done but it was a matching tattoo with my cousin.
The last one looks weird cause I originally took it upside down. It's on my right side (baby bump is starting to stretch out) and says "dark am I yet lovely Song of Songs 1:5" and was my first. The butterfly represents my mixed heritage I plan on getting a half sleeve also after LO is born and possibly violets on my shoulder since that is her name.
this is my one and only on the inside of my left wrist. my mom had breast cancer and my dad had prostate cancer, so it's a cancer ribbon made into a heart with both colors. I got it 4 years ago and love love love it!
ps: red marks are from laying on my watch and Pandora bracelet haha. the bracelet usually leaves little heart marks all over that area.
I have 5! 1: "RIP Mommy" on my upper right arm in honor of my mom who died when I was 17.
2: My name in script on my left calf
3: The one I really, really hate! It's a baby mini mouse with DD's name above it and her birthday below it. It's on my upper left arm. It's fading real bad and I'm so over the mini mouse. When LO is born I want to get it covered and get it to include both girls.
4: My DH name under a lock going through a cherry. It's on my right hip
5: My last and favorite one, the one in the picture! It's on my right calf. In 2008/2009 this scripture was all over my life and encouraged me through a really difficult time. "Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we can ask or think according to the power that works in us"
I only have a picture from when I first got it but this is my quote that I've grown up with, there's an extremely long story that started it for me but I'll just leave it at it was my motivation
@arizonatea the mermaid looks like it's going to be badass when it's done. Do you mind if I ask what you do for work? I'm surprised someone tattooed your finger. They usually won't touch your hands unless you're in the industry or a biker or in a band or something. Just curious!
Thank you! Haha and nope I'm not a biker or in a band :P I'm an EMT and its actually really okay for us to have tattoos all over as long as they aren't offensive or in bad taste (like a pin up with boobs exposed I guess). I think it's more accepted since we work in emergency situations and no one would really care haha.
I believe I've got around 18 hours in it all in all, broken down into 2-3 hr sessions. I refuuuse to sit for 8 hr sessions or something ridiculous like that- plus I swell pretty extensively so by the end of 3 hrs my skin, while still taking ink, is very hard to stretch. I have one session left to finish the strip from my elbow down the back of my forearm. I kick myself for not getting it done in the month and a half I was healed and able before my BFP!
I have to say I absolutely adore your siggy pic! I used to have two huskies and absolutely adored them. Wonderful breed.

Oops, I'm late! Here's mine done in May this year a few weeks before I found out I was pregnant! DH and I got monkeys for what would be our son's first birthday in June. I'm a little sad because one of the ears sticks out further than the other and I'm not sure it can be fixed. This picture was taken right after it was finished. .

I have never heard of that.
I haven't either, most tattooers around here want to see that you're heavily tattooed before touching your hands/neck... But there are a lot that only care to be paid. It all boils down to what you're getting and who's doing it.

Or depending on the design. I know the guy who did my swallows will refuse requests that don't meet his artistic criteria quite often. I guess I got lucky?

The same artist did my thigh, clavicle, and then my finger so I think that's why he was more open to it. And he knows I'm scheduling my half sleeve as soon as LO is born. DH's tattoo artist (same studio) however won't tattoo anything out of his style and if he thinks its just stupid he won't. I think it really just depends on the artist.

That's awesome! Well it definitely looks badass, and at least you can look forward to getting it done after your LO is here! I'm so jealous. I've always wanted to do my right arm but it'd be hard to cover it with my job.
And thanks! Huskies are so awesome. They're definitely an interesting breed, they all have such crazy personalities.
