I did not get my H anything and he did not get me anything. IMO he helped make the baby so he should be involved/supportive in the birth of LO. We did get our doula a gift card because she was amazing and helped us have a wonderful birth.
ETA: I did do a big fathers day for him. It was his first and he had earned it by changing diapers/getting up at night/letting me cry on his shoulder.
Both times DH gave me a charm for my bracelet (my children's birth stones). I didn't get anything for him either time. I know some women do this and it works for them, but honestly I carried the baby for nine months, delivered them, recovered, and had to wake up to BF every couple of hours with sore nipples, I guess that was my gift? I wouldn't trade the experiences either time, but not sure why the husband should get a gift.
Haha, I know... We are doing the Bradley Method for natural childbirth and he is kind of my doula. I should have mentioned that. Thank you for the responses!
Ummm...nope! I carried a baby for nine months, dealing with morning sickness, aching back, swollen feet, gaining weight, etc. He doesn't get a prize for helping out during labor even though he has been an amazing coach.
