Trying to Get Pregnant

Are these early pregnancy syptoms?

I am about a week past ovulation and I just have a feeling of activity in my stomach/uterus area.  I have been TTC for 3 months and I didn't have this feeling at all the last two tries. I also haven't been able to sleep at all the last three nights which is very very rare for me.  Anyone had similar symptoms this early and a BFP?

Even if you were superhuman, you wouldn't be feeling any movement that soon.
    GL with your 2ww :)

  • Most people don't feel movement prior to 16 weeks pregnant. If you are feeling movement you are going to have an alien in you, not a baby.
  • I have stomach activity when I eat really awesome greasy food.

  • Yep! Congrats, its a gas bubble baby.

Seriously, way way way too early to feel anything at 7dpo. I had twins and didn't feel anything till 13 weeks

  • Movement in your stomach/uterus area is not a early sign of pregnancy. Sorry.

  • Is it possible you are just really aware and intune with your body since ttc? I know for me, my ttc brain wants to question every ailment I experience during the 2ww. Did you try testing? If you are pregnant enough for symptoms then you should be able to turn a test positive.

  • I don't feel movement, just a general feeling, it's hard to explain.  I also was woken up with a sharp cramp the other night, which has never happened.  Just wondering if anyone else experienced the same thing.  I know what gas and other things feel like, this is different.

For what it's worth it really does sound like gas & perhaps you are actually ovulating (the cramp). At this stage it's highly unlikely you would have pregnancy symptoms.

I have been pregnant 4 times. Each time the only indicator was very early round ligament pain (tightening & pain of the muscles/uterus like a very large, intense menstrual cramp) and a positive HPT. The bloating, gas & the rest came later like at 6 to 8 weeks.

I understand you really want to be pregnant, but nothing you describe sounds pregnancy related to me.

Sounds like it could be a food baby.

This is my all time favorite episode of the Cosby Show.

Also, was anyone else ever creeped out at how Mr. Cosby was a OBGYN out of his basement?
  • edited September 2013
He ran a practice out of his basement?? I do not remember this.

But even as a kid, I always loved that the husband was an OB and Mrs. Huxtable was a lawyer. They were my fave TV mom and dad.

    Edit to fix autocorrect.

Yeah, he had a OB office in the basement of the brownstone. You know, they rarely showed how patients came and went.
  • DH and I are going through the Cosby Show on Hulu. Is it weird that I want Cliff to deliver my babies?

  • Omg it's probably the baby kicking!!
  • Oh man, I loooooove the turn that this thread took. The Cosby Show is one of my all time favorites.

I always assumed that his patients went in through a street entrance, like you see to basement apartments in the city.

  • I have been looking for a place to post since TTC but you ladies are rude! To the original poster, I know exactly what you mean. I am 8DPO and my pelvic area just feels heavy in addition to cramping, so yes it's new activity ;)
Try Just Mommies, the women are a lot more friendly and supportive :)
  • Thank you twinmama10! As if this process isn't nerve wracking enough I look to fellow woman for support and all I get is sarcastic posts that are so unnecessary. I will likely never post on this website again. I will try just mommies. I am feeling the same way and definitely have never felt this way before. Hoping its implantation cramping but am going to hold off testing for a few days.

@ellyd14 I got another bingo space!
  • No rainbows are glitter here. The difference is treating another human being with respect and in a positive way. You all just sound like a bunch of bitter ladies over here
  • Come on...from one person to another going through this same incredible yet emotional journey, your behavior does sound bitter. And I think that was warranted based on your responses to the OP as well as myself. I'm not the one responding, what I feel like was inappropriate, to a perfectly innocent question.

You obviously had a bad experience here yet you keep lurking. Can't get enough of us <3
  • This board is a great place with really supportive women. You really can learn lots by being part of it. By being part of it, I mean respecting the board and reading the stickies, lurking around to see questions that possibly could relate to your own and joining in on topics. An intro as to what you've been doing, trying, and have gone through goes a long way. Helps us all get to know who is here. This being said, I am *new* myself and have grown to love this place by doing everything I just mentioned. Before saying we are "bitter", maybe try to follow how the board works before jumping in looking for praise that we obviously can not give. (My avatar says it all).

  • I'm not bitter :) I'm happy. It's Friday! Woo! I also have never been pregnant, so no, those strange fluttery feelings in my abdomen have never lead to a BFP. Sorry!
Even if it had, it would mean nothing to you, because everyone is completely different.

Lurk here a while, learn exactly how many posts this board gets daily like yours, realise nobody on the internet can tell you you're pregnant, and you might find a place here.

Otherwise, head to one of the other sites. Supportive, yes, but unlikely to be truthful or helpful in anyway.

    Good luck.

Why does everyone always think having sex with our husbands/SO trying to make a baby is this storybook worthy, magical thing? Pregnancy is another story, but TTC doesn't make you some emotional carcass that can't handle a little blunt honesty. If you want to figure out how your body works and not just circle jerk each other with stories full of false hope and no real idea of what goes into TTC, then stick around. If you'd lurk before posting you'd find threads full of more support than I've gotten from some people I know IRL.
  • Ugh. Here's what you need to do:

OP refer to my previous post.If you don't want to follow those steps, see steps below.

    White Knight:
    1. Unflag the post you reported because this will go against you since it is NOT an abusive comment
    2. Find the little red "x" on the upper right of your screen
    3. Click said "x"
    4. Find your internet tools button
    5. Click history
    6. Click DELETE history
    7. Never come back.

You will never change this board. Calling people bitter will just get you more snark. It is how this board works. End of story. Buh-Bye.

  • i dont really understand why people here get so bothered by a question like this but I DO agree that I too question EVERY LITTLE "difference" month to month now,,,

although,, with BOTH my kids, i actually DID feel a sharp pain at 7 & 6 days past O. obvious enough to remember how many days past ovulation for each. as far as the sleep goes,,, even if you are pregnant--i'd still say unrelated but get used to it ;)

my uterus "feeling" that early during pregnancy was not movement so to speak but a burning feeling & by activity i have to assume you mean the same thing because if you literally could feel your entire bodies cellular activity you would be driven completely crazy im sure

Crap. I never did an intro.       :-S

    edit: stupid emoticon!

I never did either. I realized it after 2 months of posting and figured at that point it would be more odd to do one than not.

I didn't either. I intro on TTCAL but found myself lurking here a lot more and then just started posting.

    Fucking bump!!!!
