Would it be lame

if I made DD and I matching Minnie Mouse costumes for Halloween?  (it's a black top and tutu-like skirt)  It's the tutu-type skirt that's holding me up.  I would make it long enough for me to be appropriate and wear black leggings underneath.  But is 30 too old for tulle?  FWIW it wouldn't be for work, just the school party and trick or treat street.
