Britax vs Snap N Go

FTM here. Debating between a Britax B-agile system and a Snap N Go with carseat then investing in a lightweight stroller later on. Any suggestions?

I am trying to stick to something lightweight as I had back surgery a few years ago for a broken disc.

Re: Britax vs Snap N Go

  • I'm not specifically familiar with the Britax system, but I can't imagine it could be lighter or easier than a snap and go. I used a Chicco seat the the Chicco version of the snap and go and I still miss it! Super easy to open, very light and a huge basket. I use a City Mini now and it's very light and easy, but the snap and go was lighter and easier.

  • I've tried out both and really liked! weight wise it doesn't seem to make too much difference - I just read a lot of people saying get a stroller frame and car seat at the beginning because it makes your life easier. Being a FTM I cant really say either way. I appreciate everyone's opinions and suggestions :)

  • A lot of the strollers these days have seats that completely come off and you can use the stroller as your snap and go, because it basically becomes a frame. If the b-agile does this, I don't think yo'd need a snap n go too, I think the b-agile would probably have a better ride and work as the snap and go perfectly.

  • The B-Agile was either not on my radar or not available when I had DS, but we ended up getting another light(ish) stroller that took a carseat and we've been happily using it for over 2 years. I'm kind of allergic to owning too much stuff so I like that we've been using the same one since birth.

From what I know and have heard about the B-Agile, I think it should suit your needs quite well. Especially if you say that it doesn't make a huge difference, weight-wise.

  • I have the Britax B-agile and love it! It is super easy to use and light. I just click and pull to close the stroller and we still use it a lot. We have the Britax Chaperone and had to order the adapters for the car seat but it clicks right in no problem.

  • @bennieangel
I am not sure yet. I am debating on buying the BOB double stroller. I work out with a Stroller Strides group everyday and do some jogging so it would be convenient to get an actual jogging stroller.

  • We got a Snap & Go from a consignment store (never been out of the box) very last minute and can't imagine life without it!  It was/is awesome!  Now with LO#2 on the way, we will use that along with an ergo carrier for DD.  It's so light weight and takes up no room in the trunk compared to a full size stroller.  Unfortunately, they're not much good when LO out grows the infant carrier.
  • We bought the Britax Be Agile & Be-safe travel system a couple weeks ago. I'm only 5'1" and have a bad back so getting something that was easy to fold up, light, & of course very safe were our big concerns. After comparting and reading all the reviews (none are negative for this system mind you) it was a no brainer! I was a little nervous about the cost but I fell in love with it when we got it home! The stroller is only 17 lbs I think (snap ins for britax are 13), its super easy to fold up and its beautiful. The car seat seems heavy to me, but it was just a bit better than others I tested.

  •  We have a city mini which is pretty much the same as b-agile. You will not regret the purchase of a good stroller. The b-agile is def worth every last penny! Snap n go's seem like a waste of money to me.

  • @aracelyluna - You'll have to let us know what you do & review the new stroller! Had you previously been using the b-agile for light jogging?

Yes I have and I have had no problems with it.
