Rue lala had costumes today on their site. I bought Ethan a doggie costume...
I love me some RLL.
Connor is trick or treating with his 18m old boy cousin and 6 year old girl cousin. My SIL and I want them to coordinate, but I'm out of ideas. I thought it would be funny if the 2 boys were Greasers and the girl was Sandy. I'm not even a Grease fan, but I thought it would be cute.
Anybody have any great ideas for me?
This is adorable for Mary Poppins:

I'm surprised the 6 y/o doesn't have big plans of her own. SD was picking out her costume at 5. Although, I'm sure she could be persuaded into something matchy matchy. Hmm.. Dorothy and then have the two boys either be the lion, scare crow, or tin man? Might be weird because one will be left out. Goldilocks and the 3 bears? 3 little pigs? Little red riding hood Have her pick a disney princess and one of the boys can be the "prince" and one can be the sidekick (genie from aladin, gaston from beauty and the beast) etc
She is a great. She can be persuaded to do something that coordinates with the boys. She loves those two
Thanks for the ideas!
Harry, Ron and Hermione.
I'm sure you're not surprised, but I have no clue what you're talking about.

Anyone have any suggestions for me? We're cohosting a Halloween party. Ridiculous Halloween party. Like hired bartenders, moved furniture out of the house, have a photo booth and DJ type ridiculous party. I'm just in charge of food. :-) Anyway, I have no idea what to go as. I don't usually buy costumes...I like the thrill and annoyance of making them. I thought about going as a flower and having DH go as a farmer since I have the horrible orange bridesmaid dress from last month, but DH isn't sold on that.
Any ideas for us? FYI, we're both chubby, so I certainly don't want to wear something skanky. I think I'm too old for skanky costumes anyway.
We are going as fire men/fire dept theme. The kids and I went to a fire dept with our playgroup several months ago since one of the moms was married to one of the firemen and they took our kiddos around and showed them all the vehicles got to climb in some and even spray the hose. The boys LOVED it. It made a lasting impression on Ds1. I happen to have 2 of the Carter's rain jackets that are "firemen" style. So we are got the matching fireman boots and some accessories for the boys. Dh is thinking he'll go as a fireman or as smoke (dress all in black with some red/orange shoes and socks) and I'm going to make a dalmation costume for myself.
