mostly frustration (just offically found out today - but suspected last week)

Well this is it 7 weeks - the nurse called and said "your levels dropped" and "your done". No real explanation of what or how much.(i have to assume its my progesterone based on what I've been reading. It is officially a miscarriage and i can't talk to the dr for 2 more weeks and i was not allowed to see the dr until 10 weeks if i was pregnant sill anyway.

I'm full of questions, anger and pain. I wish they would tell me whats going on... I wish they would have told me what they were testing for... I knew some spotting/blood meant miscarriage but i found all kinds of other explanations too. I discover I had a YI and they just called in meds to the pharmacy with out an apt that could have caused some issues...  I was in an abusive relationship 7 years ago an i wonder if that left permanent damage that caused this? The is the second one in 3 months but this time i had all the pregnancy symptoms for almost 3 weeks and nausea for longer.

I was never allowed to see a dr last week when it started they just ordered two blood tests, i was never really told by the dr or nurse what they were  looking for. i asked the technicians at the lab what was ordered, i had to assume  based on what they told me and look online for answers. I'm a first timer i felt insanely lost and frustrated. Are all ob dr's so cold and secretive?   I'm in the US so it shouldn't have to do with the system... or maybe it the new Obama care rules?

I just don't get it... an now i have to wait 2 weeks to even talk to the dr?! My friend, who has a 6 month old, says that the dr should have seen me right away or sent me to the er when the bleeding started. And now that we know what going on i should have been able to ask questions sooner then 2 weeks.
Is this normal? can any one recommend a good ob/gyn in the dupage (downers grove) IL area? Mine sucks!

    I'm so sorry for your losses. Can you go to a walk in clinic or even the ER to try and see a doctor? What meds did they give you? Misoprostol? At least an explanation on the reason for the meds over a D&C would be helpful for you. Just know that early losses have nothing to do with anything the mother has done and its not your fault at all. That's the hardest part that I think we all face. Wondering, what we could have done different? Are there underlying reasons? Etc... I hope you are able to see someone sooner to help you cope and he answers for yourself. Thoughts and prayers to you

    So sorry for your loss.

    I assume the blood tests they were ordering were the HCG & progesterone levels.   I would probably call the OB back & ask what the next step is.  They shouldn't just leave you in limbo with no information.  Are you bleeding?  If so I would just go ahead go in to the ER & tell them you are 7 weeks pregnant & started bleeding. they will do a full work on you.

    I'm so sorry for your loss.  Your doctor sounds terrible and not at all like the norm.  You should be able to see someone to discuss what is going on, what your options are, and a plan for going forward.  How far are you from Oak Park?  I see a midwife group there that work with an OB nearby and all of them have been fantastic from before I was pregnant, to our first appointment, to now dealing with our loss.  I also saw an OB group in Arlington Heights when I was pregnant with DD that I liked.

    BFP#2 7/3/13.  U/S at 6w4d showed 1 heartbeat at 127 bmp and 2 empty sacs.  MMC discovered at 10w4d.  D&C 8/27/13.  Pathology showed normal boy.  Missing our babies every day.
    BFP#3 10/29/13!  Beta#1 at 4w5d - 2141, beta#2 at 5w1d - 7651!  U/S 11/21/13 showed baby measuring 2 days ahead with a heartbeat of 127 bmp!

    Just put Downers Grove on a map.  Oak Park isn't super far if that drive is ok for you.  I have also heard that OMG Women's Healthcare in Hinsdale is fantastic.  I believe they have an OB and midwives.

    I'm so sorry for your losses, I'm also sorry you have to deal with your doctor not seeing you. I know that has to be incredibly frustrating and probably even harder since you are dealing with the heartbreak of a miscarriage as PP mentioned it isn't your fault! It's hard not to feel that way but I also think it is part of the natural grieving process to feel that way.Allow yourself plenty of time to heal physically and emotionally you will be better off later on if you do.
