$60/week for only two days. She is very flexible and does not require full time as she is not daycare licensed, but has all of the proper training. I send diapers and breakfast. She provides the rest
All I can say is HOLY SH!T, I can't see how some of you can afford to have children and still have to pay for daycare. I now feel rather lucky with the prices I pay. I pay $170 per week for 5 days of daycare and I only provide wipes and diapers-for my 14 month old. I pay. $135 per week for my 4 year old. The is for a center.
I January I am switching them to a traditional preschool (so not really daycare) and it will be $1200/mo for both kids but I'll provide their lunch and the little one's diapers and wipes.
Good grief. Hub and I have opposite schedules so we see each other on Sundays, and maybe 30 min a day otherwise. Thusly we don't need day care, and we have our four parents within two miles of us for the rare need for a sitter. Even so we are not at all wealthy, like, at all. You guys must have $ jobs!
We use a SAHM babysitter down the street. She is CPR certified, but not licensed or anything. I do like that there are 2-3 adults in the home at all times. She only watches my kids 4 days a week, 4 hours each day. She charges $15 per child for 4 hours or less and $25 for a full day, plus a sibling discount. Her own kids are the same age as my kids, so it's pretty much a paid-playdate. I provide diapers, wipes, and milk. She provides snacks and lunch, if I need it.
Because she is so great and charges so little, DH and I often give her more than she asked for. We were very lucky to find her! There were no daycares in our area that had room for two, and the one we did find with open spots wouldn't take my 9yo.
I pay $195 for DD. It will drop to $175 next week when she turns 1. This is for a center, 5 days a week. In my area, for babysitting, it would be between $10 and $15 an hour. I'd think the parents would provide the food.
