If DH had it his way we'd be trying. BUT it's just too soon or me. We got pregnant the month we started trying. Ideally, I would love to get pregnant in August of next year-- Have another april/may baby.

Our plan was to start trying this month. I went off my pills last month. SO said now that he would like to wait so we could have a December or January baby as he won't be as busy with work when the baby would be born. See what happens as we haven't been preventing!
Lots wanting to get on it soon I think DH would be more on board with it if we took a more relaxed approach on it this time. I got sucked into all the temping, O sticks, charts... took the fun out of it for him. But after 2 mc's in the process, I was getting frustrated.
We're still on the fence about if we're ready to start trying again or not. When I was pregnant, I didn't think I would go back on the pill after DS was born, but I'm back on. May get off around the holidays and see what happens. Can't really have another Mar/April baby due to DH's work schedule in college athletics, it was really crazy with DS.
We're not REALLY preventing and if it happens, great. We go back and forth on how far apart we want kids and would be thrilled if we were able to have another whenever it happens. I am EBFing, however, so chances are reduced.
We agreed to enjoy DS for now and start discussing in the new year. Ideally would LOVE a November baby, if that doesnt happen would rather wait for March.
We are trying next year for a Christmas/New Years baby. I got pregnant on the first try of no protection, so I am doing everything possible to try and not get pregnant so soon.
@Mommy2BEL he is an assistant athletic director of ticketing and does all of the travel with the mbb team during the season...so missing most of the tournament and working remotely was kind of a nightmare for him from a work perspective.
Not preventing and have had a PPP since LO was 3 months old. Not sure if I'm having a long luteal phase though, my cycles are suspiciously shorter than usual. Probably for the best because I'll hate my life if I get pregnant but am too lazy to prevent it at this point

I want to start trying. I'm not getting any younger. I turned 34 today. I have 4 kids already but there is such an age difference between the bigs and Phoebe that another is part of he plan. I currently have nexplanon(sp) implant so it isn't happening soon. I think I'll be getting it removed in December so I can have #5 on or right after my 35th bday. The preg with Phoebe was so much harder than the ones with the older kids. If we don't succeed in having another by the end of 35, I will give up.

We will be trying after I get my period within the next week..I go back and forth about wanting one so soon..but DH can't wait after sleepless colic nights it gives me a fear but I love it all..pregnancy and birth were easy and Ella is perfect..IM In
Not preventing. I'll be 36 in a few weeks and DH 37 right after that... we want another one. I want to be done well before 40. Plan is to officially start trying next month, but I don't know how realistic that is since my period is very irregular since LO arrived on the scene!
I had the Mirena put in again but my DH and I have talked about getting it removed so we can start trying ASAP. After having our DS I was convinced I just wanted one child. However, not that he is growing up and his little personality is coming out I would really like to expand our family. Hopefully we will start trying soon! I'm so excited, too!
Well had a talk with DH and we're both ok with the idea of a 3rd. I start thinking about well we'd need a bigger suv, a bigger house, and and and.... lol but in reality, I don't see 3 being that much more difficult than 2. Considering just getting off the pill, giving us a time limit, and if it doesn't happen then it's not meant to be and get fixed. Because I don't want to get back on bc if we don't plan on having anymore.. might as well just permanently take care of it if that's the case, for us anyway.
Using condoms until this one starts sleeping better. We are ready to try for another but I could not manage pregnancy on the few hours sleep I am currently getting.
I think you guys are nuts for wanting another one so soon but that's just me. I could be done after one if my husband agreed. I want them 3 years apart then the older one can help more and be potty trained.
We are not trying yet. Prior to Elisha we were both in agreement at least on the number of pregnancies/# of children with the understanding that that could lead to more then just the 2 children we were in agreement on (twins run in my family, both sides, I know that this doesn't necessarily mean much but you never know). A couple weeks ago my husband said that maybe we could have 4 kids, my response was I'm not really wanting to have babies after 35, so that gives us 4 more years, so we'll see how many we end up having.
No way. The way I felt during the pregnancy, I'm in no rush to experience that again so soon. The only reason I want another child is to give DD a sibling. I'm 35 years old so most people would think I should hurry, but I'm not in that big of a hurry. I'm good waiting about 2 years before trying again. So needless to say, we are using protection.
I have a 13 yo DD and then DS, and won't have any more. When I was TTC with DS, I thought that I might try again soon so that he would have a sibling closer in age than DD. But, MH has been such a PITA since DS was born that there's no way I would go through this again.
We're not trying yet. We will start "trying" next year, but since we know it most likely will not happen without intervention, the more realistic plan is to go for a frozen transfer next August. This is actually a few months later than we originally planned, but I want to soak up some of the summer and all of its fun before becoming pregnant again. We also need some additional time before paying for 2 in daycare.
And @skideroo my period is the exact same way (short).

You're really not that old, either. I am one and done but had my sweet healthy baby boy at 42.

Nope! No more babies here. We're talking vasectomy for dh. We couldn't afford daycare, let alone college and everything inbetween for a 4th. If the girls had been a single instead of twins we'd probably not worry about it, but the hit on the budget of two infants at the same time was/is a hard adjustment.
TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!

I don't think 35 is too old for most people, but having had kids in my early 20s and then at 33 I know it gets harder. I'm a wimp.

Interesting to see how so many of you are already trying or basically ready. I cannot even think about a 2 child right now. Bewteen the lack of sleep and fussy stage for 1st few months. My husband is no where near ready and hates to even talk about a 2nd. I'd like to either start trying next summer or the following summer. With working in a school a spring baby worked out well bc I got the whole summer off w her.

This is me, too!
