Happy Friday! Yay for a short week, right?

What are your plans for this weekend? Is it starting to feel like Fall where you are?

My parents are here for the weekend so we will just hang out as family. Fall? What's fall? It's still in the 90s here, on a good day.
However, I do LOVE fall! Boots, sweaters, scarves! And of course pumpkin everything!!

Happy Friday ladies!

Love the short week - but do NOT love the BS that DH and I have been dealing with this week. He got pulled over on Tuesday. Turns out - his car is not registered and has not been registered since 2011. Yes, TWO years. It's a lease - so the leasing company gets the registration and apparently they never renewed it two years ago. A huge WTF on that one. So DH needs to get to the DMV, which is proving to be more difficult than it should. And life with one car SUCKS.

This weekend - Tonight I am going to happy hour with a friend. What my husband does not know is that I'll be coming home after 8:00 so that he has to put M to bed! I've been asking him to start doing this for weeks and he hasn't complied - so even if I finish early - I will drive around aimlessly if needed

Tomorrow - DH will hit DMV if he doesn't get there today, and after that I believe I have convinced him that we should take a trip to our favorite local winery!

Sunday - Football.period.

QOTW - Fall and I have a love/hate relationship: LOVE the smells, the weather, pumpkin spice coffee, fairs, football season returning, and this year will probably love the weather even more since M couldn't wear sunblock all summer it made things difficult...... The hate part - yeah, that's because I know fall means that winter is coming on it's tales

This is going to be a busy weekend! Tonight DH and I are going to dinner and a Billy Madison Quote-Along at a theater near us. Sunday we are going to dinner and to see Book of Mormon, which should be really funny! Sunday is also my dad's bday, so lunch with him at some point. Tomorrow I have to get the brakes on DH's car checked out, ugh. (Bye bye money!)

I love Fall! However, it certainly doesn't feel like Fall here... maybe by the end of October if we're lucky! I love all things pumpkin, can't wait to make some pumpkin cupcakes, which are only appropriate to eat in the Fall

Tonight I'm visiting a friend who moved back to the area, super excited about that.

Saturday, we have our Midwife reunion in the morning. Chance to see everybody again. Then we have a wedding, it's an afternoon reception so it'll be done by 5. Then we have a work party for DH.

Sunday, church. Then a local Greek festival. Then I'm hosting a baby shower at my house that evening. When am I gonna clean my house!??!

QOTW I love fall. My birthday is in fall, you've got Halloween, Thanksgiving. Pumpkin everything!!!

Happy friday!!! Sharing our little pic - came out to family and friends today

What are your plans for this weekend? Tomorrow we have an electrician coming in the am, some more unpacking then a friend's house warming part and going to the zoo sunday.

Is it starting to feel like Fall where you are? Yep feeling chilly today!

QOTW: Love or Hate Fall; and Why? Love fall - love the leaves changing and honestly all the fall decorating. Making a halloween wreath at the moment.

We have fall weather here. This am it was only in the 50s, burrrr! We are supposed to have nice weekend weather.

Tomorrow am is my usual run to my town's farmers market. I buy most of my veggies there during the summer. Then hoping to go to an Audubon preserve for a little hiking and picnic.

Sunday we are visiting our friends who have a daughter 2 months younger than m. We try to get together with them every 4-6 weeks.

ETA: QOTW - love/hate relationship with Fall. Love the colors, crisp air. I sued to love Fall more, but after 6 years of New England winter, I "hate" Fall because of what's to come. I can't stand cold weather! It would be great it we can skip winter and go straight from fall to spring!

Congrats to our BFPs!!! No big plans here. DH is on call and has to work tomorrow morning. I'm so exhausted I can't see straight so I may be going to bed early tonight. I've got work to catch up on, grades to enter and lesson plans to do. Three preps this year and its kicking my butt! GTKY: We don't have fall here (Texas), well not a real fall. I love the temperatures, not too hot or cold. I wish we had the beautiful colors, but I plan on visiting the North East one year to see what a real fall looks like.

We have no plans this weekend which is nice for a change.

QOTW: I love fall. I find the fall styles to be the best. I love wearing light sweaters and cardigans with no jacket!

@mnj05 what do you teach? I'm taking off work until February and when I get back I have 4 preps!! I teach middle school math.

I have no clue what we're doing this weekend. Today at day care they has an ice cream social for parents and grandparents so we did that. Sweetest thing ever! This weekend is grandparents day so we'll probably head around and see the grandparents and great-grandparents.
QOTW: I love the fall weather but dislike the allergies that come with it.

@phishgirl29, sorry just seeing this. I also teach middle school math! I'm 6th grade but also have one section of GT math and I have two keyboarding classes. I'm in a new district this year, been teaching just 6th grade regular ed math the last three years. I was actually inclusion my first year, mixed the last two, and then this year 3 mixed math and the one GT math. Keyboarding came along with the job and it's actually kind of nice to get some grading done during those classes as opposed to 6 hours at home on Sundays.

Off until February?? Sounds nice! Although I took off the last week of February last year (was due March 7, had H March 1) and I hadn't planned on going back at all. I had already sent in my resignation letter and all. I had issues with my long term sub (my original was ran off by admin) so I went back the last two weeks of school to make things right for my kids. Enjoy your time off, it'll fly I'm sure!

@mnj05 too funny! I actuality taught 6th the last three years but because I'm taking half a year off, I'm coming back to 2 sections of 7th ( one of those being resource room) and 1 8th (inclusion). I then have 1 section of 7th AIS (academic intervention services) and 1 8th AIS each day. It's going to really stink. I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to handle it when I get back but I'm also trying not to think about it! I'm in NY. It's nice to see another math teacher here!

@phishgirl29 - Oh wow! Having 4 preps is enough but to add resource and intervention kiddos to the mix is tough! I'm in Texas and apparently my position has gone through four other teachers in the last 4 or 5 years, all brand new to teaching so I'm the first one in a while to know what I'm doing and actually planing on sticking around for a while. I know it's nice for them to know that and easier but I'm not being told much of anything in terms of school policies or even curriculum. I feel like it's my first year all over again.
