Hi ladies: Now that we are OOP finances are playing a huge part in our decision of what to do next. I love my clinic and don't want to switch, but their single cycle price is really high. They do offer shared cycles (2 recipient couples) which are significantly less. I emailed the donor coordinator but I am wondering if anyone has done this. The questions I have are:- How does it affect the success of your cycle (ie are there lower success rates)?- How logistically is it set up?- How are the quality and quantity of eggs distributed? If anyone has done this can you let me know your experience? I think it's either this or switch clinics to a shared risk program, but the clinic that offers that in my area is not as good. thanks!

Re: XP from IF: DE ladies, shared cycles ?
I can't help much BUT before we did our own cycle I was in line to be a donor. (Got held up b/c my mom has MS and even though it's not hereditary, they weren't sure if I could be a donor. After a month of waiting we just took out a loan and went for it ourselves).
At our clinic i'm not sure on the success rates part. Ours was set up that they covered half my meds and cycle fee - and knew nothing about me. Not even my name. All they would be allowed to know is my age and family illnesses. And in the same, I would know nothing about them. Completely blind going in lol.
Our clinic had it set that depending on how many eggs I would have made the receving couple would get 3-5. I would get first pick on quality being I was the donor.
That's about all I can share. Thought i'd throw out there how our clinic did it!! GL
