April 2014 Moms

When did it get better?

I know everyone is different, but for you already moms out there or April 14ers that are further ahead, when did you finally start feeling better? I am getting closer to 9 weeks and I feel like this hungover feeling is never going to go away!

Re: When did it get better?

  • For me in past pregnancies I was sick from week 3 to week 16. :(

  • Last pregnancy I started to feel a bit better at 20 weeks, but the nausea lasted all nine months.

This time has been a little better, I think because I take Unisom every night.

  • I got like 80% better half way through week 10. Still not 100% but I'll take it!

  • I think for most people it gets better between 10 and 14 weeks.

  • Dear God!  I hope so.  I'm just into week 7 and want to die from feeling sick and being tired!
  • I almost just asked this. I'm so tired all the time and nothing ever sounds good.
  • My last pregnancy was around week 13. I actually haven't felt too nauseous for the last 2 days, so I wonder if it's letting up for me at 10 weeks this time.
  • I am at 10 weeks and my nauseous has gone away but I am still so tired.
  • I started feeling horrible at exactly my 6th week and then starting feeling much better almost exactly at week 13.  I'm really hoping that things work the same way this time around!

  • I am 10 weeks, and just this past week I noticed I"m not *quite* as tired or nauseous as I was before. But, I still feel pretty "blah" a lot of the time, especially in the evening...and some days are worse than others. I'm with you though- I can't wait to feel better, not so tired, and also can't wait till food actually tastes good. Most of it doesn't really. I guess the bottom line is that everybody's different.  I hope that the 2nd trimester brings a feeling of normalcy....but I'm trying to prepare myself that I could feel like this for longer.
  • During my last pregnancy I felt better between 12-14 weeks.. Just hoping I can make it to then. Starting taking Zofran yesterday- it has really helped. Just trying not to take it much.
  • I'm 10 w now and I started feeling better this week. With my son I was never really nauseous so didn't have to worry about this. I'm still exhausted though.
