Mattress Advice

We are overdue in getting my daughter a real mattress. She has a convertible bedframe that converts from crib to toddler bed to full adult bed. I think she has outgrown the toddler bed and is no longer comfortable.

I suspect she is going to be in this bed for a good 10 years so we will look at it as an investment. I'm not going to buy inexpensive, but we don't have a huge budget either.

I'm looking for recommendations on brands, firm, medium, plush, soft? Also, if anyone has had any luck finding a reasonably priced organic mattress I'd appreciate input on that too.

Thanks for your time!

I have purchased my own natural latex mattress at a locally owned store in the city where I live. I found that they had better mattresses at better prices than the department stores. There is also ikea. They have some pretty good prices on latex mattresses and they don't use the nasty chemicals present in most US manufactured mattresses.
