Babies on the Brain

Oh you know.

So typical over thinking girl here. I was just wondering what is the latest anyone has tested and gotten a positive when previously negative tests in the same cycle. I am not asking because this is happening. It is just a question. So please none of this, neg = not pregnant replies. Thanks!

Re: Oh you know.

  • I was 10 to 12 dpo every time I got a +. That's the benefit of charting... You actually know when is the right time to test so your results are conclusive. So cd 24 or 35 I still knew if it was the right time to test and didn't have to ask internet strangers for input.

  • 3w pregnant I got a bfn. A week later I tested positive. Given my EDD I was 4 weeks pregnant when I got the BFP. Though according to my chart I was 5 weeks along before my positive.

Not sure if you are stating in general or directed to my post.... Either way, some people may not trying to get pregnant so they don't chart.... or some are just curious about other peoples stories (me at this moment).... or maybe some  people just don't know how to chart or just don't want to spend the tedious amounts of time to do it. I was fine with your post up until the last sentence.
  • Not I as I don't test early. Eliminates the possibility.

And negative = not pregnant. Deal with it. And deal with the fact that you don't get to dictate replies.
I was just stating that I know neg = not pregnant. I was not dictating I was suggesting, since this is NOT a question for personal information. It is just a general thought so I posted it to see if anyone had any stories about this sort of thing.

Charting takes about 30 seconds a day. If that is tedious, you need to loosen up your schedule a bit.

Ok I was not sure as to how much time it takes. I do not chart, so I have made this opinion by looking at all the info you can input into one and to me I guess it looked like a lot of work. So that was an uneducated assumption. My bad.

I don't have experience with that. I only had positive tests on the cycle I tested positive.

This. I tested + with both boys at 9dpo.

  • Oh FFS go to the TTGP board and read the newbie info! If people don't have the 30 seconds to chart everyday why do they expect complete strangers to take the time to interpret and respond to their bullshit questions? If you can't be bothered with learning about your own body and what it's doing don't freak out when it doesn't do what you want it to and then use an internet forum as if it were google. -----end rant

I AM NOT ASKING! It was just a random question..... I thought maybe people would read the question before answering it... but I guess not. It was a thought that crossed my mind so I asked is there a problem with that?

Except that you ARE asking. If a woman is not charting and has no idea when she ovulates then you have no idea how long that cycle is until she is pregnant or AF comes. You will test negative until you are pregnant. What is the point in asking how long a woman tests negative until she tests positive if you have no idea when she ovulated?
  • Ok. I was just wondering. Jeeze.
  • I have been pregnant 5 times. I have never gotten a positive before 14 dpo. Testing earlier than that and I got negatives.
