What do you call soda and where are you from?

I'm in Florida and have always called it coke in general. I always have as a kid and never really thought about it as another name til I got older. "What kinda coke do you want?" I see now that sounds so stupid, but still say it.

For some reason I've combined two of the names and call it soda pop- drives my H crazy.

I also call a refrigerator an ice box and he hates that too

I call it non-existent in our house.

Okay, okay, I call it whatever it is named. So I say, "Let's have some Sprite." or, "Pour a little Coke in your bourbon, honey." Maybe, "I'd love to have a Dr. Pepper." I'm from TX and Louisiana though. Everyone calls it coke. I call it by what it is, no generic naming for me.

Coke- another southerner here. You just specify when you need to. When you are ordering, specify what you want. But if you are just speaking generically, call it a coke. Somehow, it's not confusing.

In Texas someone will say do you want a coke and I say yes, I'll take a dr.pepper-or anything else.

I say soda, but have moved back to Buffalo (where I'm originally from) & everyone here says pop. I get weird looks when I saw soda, haha.

Soda. I'm not really from one particular place, but my parents were raised mostly on the west coast and that's what they always called it. I've been in TX for 15 years and haven't converted to their crazy habit of calling all soda "Coke."
