good morning! Ok do you like the spelling Rory or Rori better? It is an Irish name and usually spelled with an "I" for a girl and "y" for a boy but I kind of like it with a y better.

Your thoughts? The middle name is Dee.

I guess I'm in the other side here! I think the "I" is the way to go for a girl. I grew up with a boy with a "y" though.

The Gaelic name is actually Ruari or Ruairi, and it's a boy's name - it means "red king".

Either way, if you're using it in the US and aren't going for the traditional Gaelic spelling, go for Rory.

Me personally I've never seen it with an I or a Y I've seen it Roree for a girl which I think is cute but if its between an I or a Y, I like the rorY better
