So we had our consultation today for IVF.  Mostly what it was all about was the process, and injecting the meds.  I’m quite certain I almost barfed and cried 3 times. (Needles freak me out in the sense that they DISAPPEAR in your skin, I am ok with it as long as I don’t have to look. However, looks like I need to get over that really quick!  ) DH looked like he was enjoying putting the needle in the test skin a little too much!  

I have my calendar and at this time, egg retrieval is set for October 8th, based on my cycle, which has always been very normal and right on schedule.  My meds are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow and apparently is an aggressive amount of meds. My nurse was right when she said it was going to go fast.  I am definitely in a whirlwind right now.  *whew*

    Good luck! :) I would be excited! Aren't the success rates really high? I know someone IRL pregnant with boy/girl twins from 1st found IVF.

    I am excited, yet scared.  After I have surgery to remove my tubes, he says our success rate is 70%.  Twins would be awesome, but my RE insists on transferring one.  DH wants two.  But I suppose we wait to see what my eggs look like and what our embryos do.  

    I will keep you posted! Probably too much!

    Just think - there's a 70% chance you could be pregnant at Christmas!! (Or Hanukkah if that's your thing) :)

    HAHA I can't stop laughing. I am most certain it is blowing a kiss... I meant to do just a smiley face, but I must not have waited long enough to see with the smile came a kiss. LOL oh man.

    I'm right there with ya! I got all my meds yesterday and I will be starting Lupron injections tonight. Unfortunately DH will be at work, so my best friend is coming over just in case I can't do it myself! My estimated ER would be 9/30, so we are about a week apart. Good luck!

    Clomid 50 mg + IUI#1  = BFP, m/c and D&C at 7w1d

    Clomid 50mg + IUI#2 = BFN

    Clomid 100mg + IUI#3 = BFN

    Lupron + Follistim + IVF#1 = 11ER, 10M, 10F, ET of 1 expanded BBA 5-day blast, 2 Frosties. BFP! Beta 10/13 = 264! Beta 10/15 = 702! EDD 6/21/14

    YAY! Good luck to you too! You will have to let me know how the shots go.  My meds just got delivered today.  I don't start the shots for a couple weeks.

    Yay, that is exciting!  And the kissy face comments made me laugh out loud!

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14
