My kid runs around in a diaper quite frequently at home. She also gets compliments everywhere we go about how adorable she is and how well dressed she is. She like being just diapered at home...actually she'd prefer the nude but I'm not cleaning up pee all day. I am assuming anyone who judges this doesn't actually have kids.
Anytime I see someone begging for money my heart hurts...I don't know their circumstances. Maybe they are no good beggars just out to rip kind hearted folk off but I don't think that's the majority. I've only ever seen one family begging for money in our town. They were in front of Walmart I went in and bought them food but by the time I came out they were gone
I don't like parenting advice from anyone unless I ask for it...on cloth diapers, on breastfeeding, on discipline, etc.
ETA: preggers, prego etc. fall into the same Klassy category as Sissy and Bubby. Blek.
@Kismc I understand where you are coming from, as I am Canadian living in the US. I don't see it as wrong, but it definitely still feels strange to me, because I did not grow up with that kind of situation. It's a culture shock, I guess.
However, my experience is that as long as people are responsible gun owners, it can be safe. And in terms of unnecessary, well the problem is that there are 300 mill guns in the US, so you have to assume that everyone else has one. In Canada, absolutely unnecessary. But when I am walking around the streets where I live, I don't know who has a gun, and that makes me afraid. I can only assume others feel the same way.
I completely agree that the larger problem is the overall amount of people owning them.
I know people can own them and keep them locked up and whatnot, but accidents happen...
I shot a gun for the first time when me and some friends went to Vegas last year. I don't know the names of some of the small handguns but we also shot a rifle and an AK47. I absolutely loved it! It was so much fun and we all had a blast!
Having said that, I personally would never keep a gun in my house but I don't feel the need to. There's crime in every neighbourhood across the world but I feel really safe in my area of Vancouver.
I'm pretty sure that a very large portion of the guns kept in houses aren't there for safety but because the owners simply like to shoot. I honestly think that if every person who had a gun stored it safely (and I really mean safely), everybody would be a lot better off.
I'm just such a clutz and so forgetful that I would likely forget to lock the closet/storage box or whatever they're kept in. I mean....how many days have I gone to work and though "oh crap, did I turn off my hair straighteners?!".......Yeah!

I live in a rural, relatively safe area so I don't feel the need to carry one on me at all times. If I lived in a bigger city with a higher crime rate, you bet your ass I would carry one in my purse. I would do anything to protect my kids and wouldn't hesitate to shoot someone who would harm us.
I think that many North American healthcare professionals have created an extreme sense of fear in pregnant women because it is easier the blanket black list many things as opposed to actually do long term investigative research.

This is a bit extremist. People who legally own guns are not the ones shooting up schools. I see nothing wrong with gun ownership if you're a responsible gun owner. We have guns in the house and we've taught our daughter to respect them so it's a total non issue.

All of this - except I have fired plenty of guns in my life.
My UO today cam be that if Canadians think there aren't a ton of guns walking around here too they are naive. It may not be the same as the States, but it sure isn't non existant here either.

Started our exploration into the world of international adoption June 2012. We have no idea what this is going to look like but we are excited to find out!
Probably not and that's when accidents happen. That doesn't mean people that are responsible should be judged or punished for having guns in their home. People can also be irresponsible parents in general. They don't watch their kids around a pool or stairs, but we don't judge them for having either of those.

Edit - when I say kids I mean 3, 4 and 5 year olds.
Sometimes I wait until after dinner and the kids are in bed to get groceries and there are so many parents that have their kids out with them having dinner or shopping around 9-10 at night.
I was suppose to meet another rep this morning as we were going to work together in the field today. I got there 10 min early and texted her saying I'm going to find a bathroom. She then writes back at the time we are supposed to meet, "ill be there in 20 min running late." Like WTF! You couldn't call me and tell me you were running that late?! Its not like I'm meeting you for lunch on personal time, its WORK! Vent over ha

wee wee is weird. I have no problem usign penis, but pee pee s cute too. As for as vagina, there is nothign cute about this. Yes, I will teach my daughter the right word, but in every day language, esp. while trying to potty train, hoo-haa, is just so much cuter.
re: your UO, I agree. I also think belly piercings are trashy, period. And before I get flamed for that, relax, I had one myself. They are totally 1990's and that is a fashionista fact! I took mine out 10 years ago and never looked back. But, I do have a nice little hole above my belly button that never closed as a reminder. Egh.
