I'm from NYC ... I hate beggers and bums. I have zero pitty for them. I hate when they beg for money on the train and shake their cups at me in the sidewalk. I work hard for my money and they should do the same. Therefore i wont give them a penny of my hard earned money.
I don't think Bradley Cooper is that good looking. I know that's definitely a UO but I just don't.
I'm not sure I would take a second look at him if I passed him walking down the street.....

I don't give out my money either, but a lot of homeless have some major mental illnesses they're dealing with. Granted, there are some who don't and need to get out there and get to work. I watched a dateline special one about pan handlers and some of them that did it drove nice cars, had jobs, etc. They just did it for the free money. That disgusts me.

I hate when people use the word Sissy in relation to their daughter from another sibling. HATE IT.
I also hate when people call the soother a sussy. Call it a paci, soother, plug, whatever, but sussy just sounds wrong.

The term "love on" drives me insane. As in, "I can't wait until LO arrives so I can love on him / her". I don't know why, but it makes my skin crawl.
Also, I side eye people, and specifically my best friend, who don't put 3 year olds in at least part time preschool when they can afford to (and don't get me started about the lack of public support for early childhood education generally). There is now so much data available on the importance of early childhood education, I just can't understand why you wouldn't. And for the record I hate myself for this UO, because nothing gets me down more than judgy moms...which I try so hard to not be in general, but this one is a hot button for me.

Wow. I'm not saying you have to give money (I usually don't, though I always give a smile and a hello), but I encourage you to read some of the unbiased / nonpolitical literature out there on urban poverty.
For every welfare queen / dishonest panhandler out there, there's also a person who is struggling with bad luck or bad health and has fallen through this country's meagre social safety net. There but for the grace of God go any of us, though sometimes when you're on your comfortable middle or upper class pedestal it's difficult to understand how close to the precipice of homelessness many in this country actually are.

I'm really sick of hearing about the panda cub at the National Zoo. This might be a DC only UO, haha. They dragged that poor thing from its mother's clutches only hours after it was born and now they keep tricking her to get the cub out again and again for testing or whatever it is they are doing. I get that they REALLY want this thing to survive but really. It's getting old. And there are more important things to report. If the Syrian refugees saw the local news in DC, they would spit right on our heads.
I think any sort of planned gender reveal is ridiculous, especially if the parents to be already know! I told my family with a phone call and text messages. It is not that big of deal.
I don't think baby girls should wear bows bigger than their face/head. I think bows and headbands are cute, but when your baby's head dips from the weight, lady, you gots a problem.
I think people who monogram everything have lost their minds. I went to a wedding where the bridesmaids wore monogrammed cardigans. When is that ever necessary?
I jump to unfair conclusions about anybody who lets their kids hang out with just a diaper on, or a shirt without pants.
I was the same way until I had DS. He usually has on clothes, but my husband never puts pants back on after he changes him and I have given up trying. However, he NEVER goes out in public without shorts/pants or shoes/socks but at home, sometimes he just likes being in his shirt and diaper.

I hate the sight of cluttered countertops. It drives me mad to see a bunch of appliances or products for display in the kitchen or bathroom. Just some hand soap will do.
I think pumpkin anything is gross. :-& The only thing I like that's pumpkin flavored is my FIL's pumpkin roll, and that's because he uses so much cream cheese that you can't taste the pumpkin.
I don't like when BTDT parent's offer up "advice" on things they haven't even tried. If one more person that hasn't cloth diapered a day in their lives tells me that I'll hate it or says "I give it two days" I'm going to hulk smash something.
I'll listen to a mom who at least tried it and decided it wasn't for them no problem but someone telling me what's up based on their opinions or how they heard it was, isn't cool. It'd be like me telling someone that they shouldn't have a VBAC because I heard some stuff can go wrong, what the hell do I know..

In public or not? Because DD had to use the bathroom last night and she had to finish dinner afterwards, followed by a bath. I made her put her underwear back on but let her be around the house (with no neighbors) in just a shirt and underwear.

Yep. there is this one guy who stands at the city limit so he can't get arrested (because you cant beg in my city anywhere)...DH stopped and asked him one day how much he made on average. He said $200 dollars. And he is one of those who has everything he needs to live, but knows he can still make an extra $200 a day.
Ewwwwww that disgusts me!! Shame on those people!!
I jump to unfair conclusions about anybody who lets their kids hang out with just a diaper on, or a shirt without pants.
Dang...I am GUILTY. LO usually runs around the apartment in just a diaper after he gets up and I change him in the morning until we're ready to get him dressed for the day...and my MIL gives me such a hard time for letting him leave the beach in only his diaper and a t-shirt. Otherwise he's always clothed, I swear!
I think it's wrong for families to keep guns in their house. And I super judge moms who carry them around in their purses. (I only realized a week ago how unpopular this opinion is...maybe because I'm Canadian?lol)
I think the 'flag' button should be moved. I scroll left handed and I'm tired of almost freaking out while I unflag them. I've even flagged myself. I'm not sure if it even goes though because once its accidentally clicked it asks to choose an option (it lists two) and I just tap the flag button gain to make it go away and its not shaded anymore but dang! Deff bring my heart beat up a bit when it happens.

I'm a Canadian living in the U.S., and this is most definitely NOT an unpopular opinion in my household!

Um, wow. I think people will agree with you but I really wish the bolded was an unpopular opinion. I spent 10 years in NYC and I also never gave to panhandlers - but I did give a lot to local charities including shelters and kitchens. All of those cater to temporarily or permanently homeless or destitute. Are you REALLY making the blanket assumption that they choose that life? That they are too lazy to get a job? Yep. I can see it. Given how strong job competition is for people who do have at least a high school diploma, who are not disabled veterans, who do not have a mental illness, do you really think it's just a matter of them going "Hm. I think I'll get a job today. A-Okey!" Yes, I work hard for my money. Damn hard. But I am aware of how incredibly lucky I am. That I grew up in a loving, supportive home. That I have parents who uprooted their family and moved to the States to get a better life. That they had a support network in place which helped them get jobs as soon as we got here. That I went to a good school and had teachers who encouraged me. That I do not have a mental illness. That I do not have an incapacitating physical disability. That I was never assaulted or raped - things that could break a human. I do not give them money. And it is true some may be cheats. But I certainly don't hate them. I pity them.

I think people who can't properly do their jobs should be fired. When I worked I worked with so many people who couldn't properly do their jobs. Kinda going off of what @MarBee1214 was saying it really sucks when you're required to use a computer program to do your job and people can't figure it out. When I was a nurse there were days I'd spend half the day explaining to an older nurse how to use the computer to chart medications or whatever. Also, in general there are plenty of people that companies keep on who just barely work and then there are others who work their butts off. It sucked being one to work her butt off and then see other people just socialize and not do their work and screw over the next people to come in to work. Ok...end rant, but I honestly think if people can no longer do their jobs properly they should get a new one or be let go.
