He received his shots today. Three of them. He is just so miserable. He just wants to be held constantly and even then he still screams out once in awhile. My poor little guy. Eliza didn't react so poorly with her shots. It's been six hours since he got them too. Anyone else have a LO that reacted so poorly?
Dd2 is in the same boat. DD1 never got cranky, just drowsy. But DD2 got her two month shots today and has been crying non stop (even while being held) for 2 hours and just threw the Tylenol up on me sorry you're LO isn't taking it very well either! I'll definitely be spacing out the 4 month vaccines after this nightmare.

I'm making DH handle the four month shots.
ETA: fixed it
That sucks! do you think his distress is from the actual injection site pain? I remember that my tdap shot felt like a knuckle punch for a couple days.
P does fine after the shots, but he holds his breath during them. He actually started to turn blue when he got his 2 months shots... so not looking forward to his four month ones.

I'm really not looking forward to this part.
I do think it's just painful injections. Plus a very mild fever so he just feels achy and sad.
None of my older kids reacted like that. I'm sorry he's struggling so much with it. I hope he gives you a little break so you can rest and that he feels better soon.

I would worry that spacing out the vaccines would just mean having more grumpy days!
LO had 4 shots, one of which was the Dtap which is really three vaccines in one, and an oral one. So total she had SIX vaccines at once. I think her little body is too young for that many a once. I might be wrong, but my mommy instinct says space out the next ones
Poor thing! I hope he starts feeling better. DS has them next Monday. After our ER trip, I think he will do ok if the injection sites hurt, it will just be if they give him a fever and that makes him feel yucky.
