Has anyone else been experiencing terrible BO?

I'm not sure if my sense of smell is just heightened, but my BO (particularly under my arms) has been really bad. I use TOMS deodorant and haven't really had this issue before. I'm worried I'm going to have to wash my clothes after every wear! Does anyone have any pregnancy safe deodorant advice and/or how to get more than one wear out of clothing?

I stunk for a few weeks with my first pregnancy because I wasn't wearing real deodorant. Regular deodorant is perfectly safe. I use unscented because fragrance (in any body product) is often what brings chemicals and nastiness. I don't get the fear of real deodorant.

The reason I use the natural is to avoid the aluminum (it's been linked to alzheimer's and cancer). That said, a lot of things are linked to cancer, so it's a personal choice. Tim's has never worked for me - I like the Burt's Bees and another brand I can't recall. I've definitely noticed more stink as well though.

Umm yea! I was using toms to but after talking to doctor and reading a lot switched to a regular deodorant he said its fine.... Plenty of people use it and our mom and grandmothers use it so there really nothing to worry about if that's why you are using toms.... If you using it because that is ur life choice... Get ready to stink a little but more than usual

I remember hearing that and later learning those claims had been disapproved. I guess if it works for you though no reason to switch anyway! I need the strong stuff!

ive taken to use my hubs deodorant its the only thing strong enough to cover my smell! yikes!

I haven't seen anything about it being disproved yet - I'll have to look that up!

I went to the dermatologist for this. She put me on erythromycin gel for under my arms. She claims that it is safe for pregnancy. I only use it on work days but it definitely takes care of the problem.

Yes! I think it might be our heightened sense of smell, because it's not just me I'm smelling.. I've noticed everyone's scent and PU! Ppl don't smell as great as they think! Lol

Our BO does change with pregnancy, so suddenly we smell weird to ourselves, and the super-scent power doesn't help. I don't like deo either, but I always use an antiseptic wash in the shower (or hand sani in a pinch!) . Bacteria is what smells, not sweat. DH says everything smells the same to him, so it's probably just us.

Thanks so much you guys! I may just try another brand. Something w/o aluminum. But I think you guys are right. There's probably tons of stuff I expose myself to everyday that has been linked to something scary.
