Golden Birthday

Ever heard of this?
I've always thought it was cool. Even when I was a kid I couldn't wait to be 26 (my birthdate) because I just knew something cool was going to happen.
And I was right! C was born a week before my 26th birthday.
C's will be her 18th so I think getting into her too college choice may be her cool thing or maybe she'll win the lottery from her first ticket! Maybe she'll buy her first car.

O's will be his 24th so maybe he'll graduate from a grad program of some sort? Meet his future spouse? Buy a home, perhaps.

Mine was when I turned 10 and turning 10 is pretty exciting on it's own merit! I went to my first major league baseball game (I love baseball!) It was a Giants v Dodgers game in San Francisco. I loved it!

J's will be when he turns 27. I have no idea where he'll be in life, but I hope it's a happy day for him!

Poor DH was turning 2 for his golden birthday...he always says he feels cheated.

I was born on June 2. So that makes mine when I was 2? Lame! Haha.
The girls will be 20 and 22. Hopefully something fabulous will happen for them.

Mine was when I was 10. I didn't know about the Golden part but I was pretty excited to be a decade old. L will be 13.

Mine was when I turned 21. Should be awesome but it totally wasn't! I got drunk too early, sad about my friends coming late to my party, and fell asleep before midnight. Oh well.

Is double gold a thing? Maybe when I turn 42?

My golden was my 28th birthday which was last year. I was KU with DS so I was sad I couldn't drink and party like I thought I would for years. I still had a good time though.

DS's will be when he turns 16 so he'll get his drivers license.

Mine was my 18th. My parents took me to Lake Tahoe, so it was pretty awesome. DS will be 13, so naturally we'll take him to Africa to kill a lion and become a man.

Mine was my 14th, and I'm pretty sure nothing momentous happened. DS's will be his 22nd and DD's will be her 2nd, next year. Maybe I'll have her party "gold" themed - lol.

I knew about this growing up and forgot on my golden birthday, lol! 28. Oh well. I was probably cleaning up spit up or something, lol.. Ok just looked up some pictures. I had a shoe themed birthday party!

Mine was when I was 28. That was the year I got married. It was cool, at the time! Miss C's birthday is 8/1, so she already had it. Lame for her!

I was so excited for my golden birthday. It was when I was 23. I went out dancing with friends and my bf (now DH) and we had a blast. 23 was a good year; it was my first year teaching and I got engaged.

Mine was at 13. I still remember that birthday because my parents made turning into a teen so exciting. My dad sent me flowers to each class at my middle school that day and I had a huge party.
DDs will be when she turns 5. That's kind of boring lol maybe starting kindergarten?

DD1 will be 24 She is my Christmas Eve baby. December 24, 2005
DD2 will be 22 She is August 22, 2007. She just turned 6
DS will be 10 February 10 2011
DD3 will be 20 August 20th 2012
DD4 will be 14 February 14th. She is my valentines baby.

@rMe6411 that has got to be the CUTEST thing I have ever heard. I told DH and he said "I'm gonna do that for C. Remind me." Absolutely sweet.

I still think 1 is big. They will learn to walk (better) and talk. One is huge.

Mine was this past year, 7/27. I went bridesmaid dress shopping with a friend, got a new laptop and Lightroom, that was exciting, I guess. Not all that impressive unfortunately. DS's will be when he is 16, so that will coincide nicely with his license

DH was when he was 5.
