SF or Oakland Zoo?

Which zoo is best for toddlers? Looking to take DS some time next month, but would love to hear from moms who've actually been there with their LOs. Thanks!

    Depends. To see Elephants you need to go to the Oakland Zoo, however SF Zoo has a tot zoo so you don't have to wear out on one visit.

    If you live in SF I would definitely go to the SF zoo - no need to go to Oakland unless it's to see the elephants.

    Definitely SF zoo., The Oakland zoo has larger cages, which is awesome, but harder for little ones to focus on if the animals aren't awake.

    SF zoo. We like it alot more than Oakland and we live in Alameda. Easier for toddlers to get around as its all flat compared to the hills in the Oakland zoo.
