5 weeks and 2 Days, no morning sickness

I'm pregnant with my first child and my morning sickness has not yet started and I'm wondering if that's normal or anyone else is like this. I have slight breast tenderness and some slight cramping and fatigue

  • I know it's impossible not to worry, but try not to. If there's one thing I've learned about pregnancy, it's that there's no real "normal".

  • I think the average person gets morning sickness around 6 weeks, so by that logic you're a bit early yet.

I'm 7 weeks, no morning sickness, and I just heard the baby's heartbeat today and all is well. :) Try not to worry, not everyone gets morning sickness.

  • Consider yourself fortunate. I'm 6 wks and my morning sickness started at 5 wks and has not subsided. I'm nauseous all day long. Count your lucky stars!!!
  • Thanks everyone!
  • I'm also 5w2d and same symptoms. I hear MS usually starts closer to 6 weeks so I'm guessing it just hasn't hit yet. I wouldn't worry :)

  • I was the same.. 6 weeks 0 days started "wake & puke" and it hasn't let up yet... 7 weeks started with the smell-induced nausea... I hope it stays that way for you, but if not, enjoy eating while u can!!
  • I am 9w3d and haven't had any morning sickness. I definitely have the sore boobs and fatigue. I get light headed, dizzy, and a little nauseous if I don't eat but that's it. It kind of worried me but I had a US today and things looked good. I would say don't worry and count your blessings!
  • I am 5 weeks and 2 days as well, and haven't had any morning sickness, or fatigue. I have had sore breasts and cramping though. I was also wondering if it's normal, so thank you everyone for the reassurance!
  • Normal. Mine didn't hit until 6 wks and even now at 9 wks it's on and off

  • Mine started around week 7 and has been pretty constant since. It just sort of started one day, I didn't have much else of note except fatigue. I feel like I'm managing better. A few people have mentioned "wanting" it. I honestly wouldn't wish this on anyone. Hopefully you'll find peace of mind through your doctor, family, friends, books along with the board and skip the constellation of yuck that is All Day Into Night Sickness.

Oh girl.. my nausea and food aversions started RIGHT AT 5w2d with my first. Good luck tomorrow! :P

eta: wait, I mean good luck because it can strike any day now.

  • Someone told me that it has to do with my age. I'm 19. And apparently because I'm young I won't get it until 7 or 8 weeks. I don't know how true that is, but we'll see

  • I am 5w's4d's today and have no morning sickness either. I have the sore boobs, fatigue and BLOATING. Oh bloating i dont think even covers it. I feel like the stay puff marshmallow man! i did feel a little nauseous this morning but no actual vomiting yet.
  • I am 7w5d and I have had no nausea at all. We just saw our baby via u/s on Wednesday and there is a healthy little baby! I started taking prenantals almost a year before I got pregnant and I heard that helps with the MS. Not sure if that was my magic pill or if I was just lucky. Though, I know it could still hit at any time.

  • I'm so glad you posted this and that everyone responded! I'm 5w2d and was starting to worry too. I think it will be more real after I hear the heartbeat and maybe see a sono. Hang in there!
  • I am so glad you posted this! i miscarried the first pregnancy two days after finding out i was pregnant so i had no symptoms. I am now 6 weeks 1 day and not MS, just bloating, cramps, sore boobs and tired! i am not upset about not being sick but i was a little unsure if it was normal so i feel better now!

  • I was never sick with #1 and haven't (yet) been sick with #2. Actually, I know at least 5+ friends who were never sick either! Try and relax ( as I'm freaking out here, lol). Whatever happens is meant to happens. Just take it one day at a time!
