Hello ladies,
I was just wondering how long it usually takes for one to fit into their pre-pregnancy clothes after they've delivered twins...
How long did it take you to get into your pre pregnancy jeans and tees? Did you do any specific workout to lose the pregnancy weight? Is your belly still saggy? Do belly binders and corsets work for the belly?
Thanks!
Re: Pre-pregnancy clothes???
Don't hate me, but it took 3-4 weeks. (My metabolism is freakishly high.) It took about 3 months for my skin to tighten back up. I gained 54lbs and have lost all but 2lbs. The thing that I find helped me lose a lot of weight after both pregnancies is dancing and walking. I dance with my babies a couple times a day. They love the rhythmic moving and I find it helps tighten my core muscles. I also walk at least 1 hour/day. I live at the top of a hill so part of that walk is quite strenuous if I do it at a good pace while pushing a double stroller.
Don't feel discouraged if it takes time for your body to heal and get back to pre-pregnancy shape. It took month to stretch out, it will take months to shrink back. Women who have singletons often take a long time to get back into their pre-baby clothes. MoM's bodies have done double (or triple, or more) work, and taken more abuse, and needed more calories so it is normal to need more time to recover.

I'm not even into my fat pants yet. It's all still in my belly and a bit in my thighs, but my thighs are huge anyway. I'm pretty small chested, so a lot of my tops just don't look right w BFing boobs.
It took me forever to get where I wanted to be after I had my first and weaning did help that along. I'm hoping to get it together a little more quickly this time while still continuing to bf.
TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!

As for the abdominal binder, I don't know if it helped with the shape or not (I was plus-sized pre-pregnancy) but since I had a c-section, it definitely helped me feel more put together and like my insides weren't going to fall out.
