When I was a child, I had sensitive skin and would sometimes break out in benign rashes with no itchiness or other side effects. These breakouts were related to lotions, soaps or bubble baths. The last reaction I had like that was when I was about 12. I've never had an allergic reaction to anything since! Tonight, after eating dinner (all foods I've eaten before while pregnant so far), I got a weird rash and some hives on my left arm only. It's nowhere else! It's also only in the crook of my elbow and a little on the inside of my forearm. What could it be and why could it be there?
Now, I am on day 2 of Kindergarten and that means 21 terrific 5 year olds with their own little ecosystems that I've never met before. I've given about 21 times 100 hugs in the last two days, but that is the only new thing in my life right now. No new foods, animals, or household products. No new clothes even. I would write it off as me being allergic to something the kids were wearing (like some detergent or something), but I took a shower first thing when I got home and there was no reaction then. I usually have an immune system made of steel, so this is really strange to me. It doesn't seem to be getting worse though, so I guess I'm not worried...
Has anything like that ever happened to any of you before?
