How was your due date determined?

My office goes off the measurement at your first ultrasound for the due date, but I know that a lot go off the day of your last period. In my case, there is a two week difference for me and since it seems like so many babies are coming "early" I'm just curious to see how everyone's due dates were determined.

EDIT: For those that have a matching LMP and US measurement choose "other." I forgot that not everyone has a weird situation like me!

My U/S always measured up to my LMP, so I know it's accurate. With DD, the u/s always measured a week ahead of my LMP and she was born 22 days early.

I voted "Other" since mine was both LMP and the dating u/s. LMP puts me at 9/1 and dating u/s puts me at 8/31. Since it was only one day off, my OB said no need to change it and just keep it at 9/1.

Mine is based off my LMP, and is Sept 16. I don't feel confident in it because it was my first period after being on BC for 6 years. My first u/s was at 19 weeks, so not terribly accurate for dating, but that gave me the due date of September 24. We shall see when she decides to arrive

My due date is 9/8 based on lmp, when they did the first ultrasound it came in at 9/12, so they just kept the original date. I think 9/12 is probably more accurate but we will never know since I'm having a rcs on 9/4.

LMP and an ultrasound around 9 weeks came up with the same date. Ever since then I've been measuring exactly on track, usually down to the day. The date of conception matched up with a date I know we DTD (and we weren't doing it that often at that point), so I figure it's accurate.

my doctor doesn't really "do" due dates

yes, he told me based on early ultrasound and LMP what the date was, but he doesn't like to stress that. he said that when people hear a date like that, they hold on to it and freak out too much, which causes unnessary stress. then when the baby is early or late they're irrationally worried.

should it be too many days past that date, of course he'd step in and evaluate the situation, but he doesn't like to set stuff like that in stone.

My OB calculated my EDD as 9/16 based on the ultrasound at 11 weeks. However, my doula gave us a worksheet on using the Mittendorf method of calculating EDD (supposed to be more accurate bc it takes into account cycle length, FTM status, etc). That method has me due on 9/25, so in my head I'm thinking of the later date as the more accurate one so that I don't get too antsy when I'm inevitably overdue.

I charted and I'm 99% sure of the date I O'd. My first u/s measured 4 days ahead, then 5 days ahead, and my a/s measured 10 days ahead. My EDD hasn't changed from the beginning - its always based on LMP.

LMP put us at 9/19 and the first ultrasound at 9 weeks measured 4 days behind. My most recent ultrasound measured LO a week behind but I'm really not putting too much stock in any of it. LO will get here when he gets here!

I picked other. I have not had any ultrasounds. Based on my LMP, my due date should have been 8/30 (I think) but my midwife adjusted it to 9/4 because I have longer cycles.

I was charting and O'd way late. We are going off the US at 12 weeks with an EDD of 9/19. Otherwise, I'd have an EDD of ~9/3. I'm very glad I charted and we had the early US so LO has time to grow properly.

I was charting so I knew when I O'ed. The first u/s was closer to my O date versus my LMP, so my OB went by the u/s.,

By LMP I should be due Sept 10, but they're going by first U/S which puts me at Sept 24. Two week difference for me too

My doc uses the date of my LMP. however I know what day I ovulated and it matches the date from the first measurement so I use the ultrasound techs date. It's just 4 days different tho so nbd.

I was charting so I know when I conceived. By this date, baby would be due on the 23rd. If I go by the date of my LMP, it would be due on the 25th. So, I decided all on my own, that my EDD is the 24th, and I've been sticking to it.

I picked LMP because that's what the hospitals and doctors have been using which is sept 26. At my first ultrasound the ob put me at Sept 30th but when I went for the 12 week the hospital put me at my LMP and that's what's been on my chart since. I really hope it's the 26th.

I said SS. You need an answer for "based on conception date". We charted and knew the day we conceived based on ovulation.

At first we went by the u/s at 9 weeks which was sept 2nd. Then we had to see a specialist for a stupid reason and they went by lmp which out us at sept 10th. I think the specialist and his due date was a crock of shit so were sticking with the original. (As you can see I'm a bit bitter on that situation)

My LMP puts me at 9/10 or 9/11 (can't remember) and that's what my first dr went by. After switching drs they decided to go by my first ultrasound.

Kind of strange situation.. I had a miscarriage immediately beforehand with no period in between. But I must have ovulated right after. The office recorded the date of my miscarriage and took measurements at my first ultrasounds. My due date was the same based on both!

I was charting but I'm 99.9% fertility friend got my O date wrong , reason being if I went by that date I would have only been 5-6 DPO when I got my BFP. My OB went by my LMP. I measured a bit big all along and had LO four weeks early .. So who knows who was right about my actual due date ..

My office does their dates by LMP, but still does a dating ultrasound which matched perfectly with the day I ovulated. They didn't care and went with my LMP instead which I thought was weird! So to them it's Sept 10th. But based o. How she has measured the entire time and knowing the date we conceived its the 7th. The ultrasound tech told us that the policy is stupid especially when ovulation is known and matches ultrasound. So I've stuck with the 7th in my head. Yes, it's only a 3 day difference but I don't care! 3 days earlier makes me happier! Lol

My OB uses LMP and unless you measure more than a week off on a u/s, they just leave it.

My ob goes by lmp and she said today that the 9wk u/s I had really confirmed that. Although the first appointmeny I went to I swore they told me the 29th and apparently its been the 30th this whole time. Oh well, what's a day?

I was charting and know when I ovulated. Based on that, my due date is Sept 30th. That's also what my early ultrasounds confirmed. My OB sets it based on LMP though, which makes it Sept 27th. I don't really care what she writes down; it'll only become an issue if we get to the point of scheduling an induction. I don't want to schedule it until at least after my actual due date.

This for me except DD always measured a week ahead and I was induced at 10 days overdue and she was born 2 days later.

Well I goofed. I said my LMP was 12/6 and that gave me a due date of 9/9. I was charting and knew I ovulated on 12/15 which gave me an EDD of 9/12 and I was mistaken on my LMP. I told them my goof, but they went off the u/s which showed an exact due date of 9/9.
