Baby Melrin Magic Sleepsuit Mamas

Did your baby ever get out of the suit on his own?  Im worried because I went in this morning and he had taken the suit off in the middle of the night??  I have no clue how he did this?!  Has anyone else dealt with this?  What did you do?  He is 6 months old and wearing the bigger size suit.

  • Wow!  That's quite a feat!  DS unzipped his sometimes, but that was it.  Maybe your son's ready to be done?

  • I am so scared to wean off it.  Any tips on weaning?
  • My son was so attached to the sleep suit he always unzipped it but never got completely out of it. I thought weaning would be a disaster but it was the best thing I ever did. The first night he woke up and cried for an hour not hysterical just whining. The next night he slept through the night for the first time ever. Naps were a little shorter for a few days. Cold turkey is the way to go.
  • We had all kinds of problems after getting our daughter out of the sleep suit.  Do you know what finally is now helping her sleep?  (Don't judge and don't tell me how horrible I am)  I put her in bed in her pjs and put her baby comforter over her that came with her crib set.  She goes to sleep instantly and feels cozy.  She's 8 months old now and can crawl and stand and all kinds of fun stuff, so I'm not worried about the SIDS thing anymore.  Life is so much easier.  Think about it... do you like sleeping without a cozy blanket??
  • if we didn't get DD's legs in all the way she'd push out. she did that a couple times, cried because she rolled on her tummy and couldn't get comfy. I just put her back in and made sure her legs were all the way to bottom.

if he was sleeping without it then I would start to nix it before it becomes something he needs to sleep. we're starting right now to transition out of it for naps, since she can get comfy (rolls both ways) and has always been a pretty good sleeper.

  • Ok I took him out last night and he slept 630 to 6 with no wake ups. That's the good news. He usually naps from noon to 3 but he did about half that without the suit!
  • That's wonderful!  Sounds like the transition was a success!  Congratulations!
