If you're bored and don't lurk on April for fun, there is a 13 page thread on carrying guns. And at the end a gif party because I think they went crazy.
I want what drugs their sharing... Looks like its some wicked stuff
April 14 is my primary source for entertainment. Except today, I think we did pretty well today for crazy. As soon as someone says they feel sorry for someone else's DH I will have completed my BINGO card and I will eat some cake.
Is this for real? I can't believe this thread. You carry a loaded gun at all times? It's more likely your kid will pick up your gun and shoot themselves by accident then you will ever be in a situation that you could somehow save your kid with it. Not starting a debate here. I live in a low income town and I could just never support having a gun in a diaper bag.

Also, these people really are nuts. I feel bad for the normal girls there. They should really start a FB group. Maybe some of the crazies will gravitate there.
I honestly cannot believe that so many of them carry guns...like I'm in shock. They are all crazy, my head is spinning from reading a few pages of that.

I will eat cake anyway.
God, I want some cake.
I think about cake a lot. DD just had her birthday, so we happen to have some left over. Normally I can't be around cake because I have no self control. ">
I have a fear of guns. I was actually thinking of posting a thread because DH wants to get a gun to keep in the house for protection and I was curious what you ladies thought. Maybe I'll post about it in a few days...

Way different then having it pointing to your pregnant belly all day.

Or in your diaper bag, where your kid could just get it. At home you'd ideally have a little safe with a lock or something.

Oh no, I totally get that. Now I just feel like it'd be bad timing. 8-|
I live in Oklahoma so I'm not surprised. Lol. When we went on car trips in college, the dads would send us off with a gun to put under the seat. I'm actually one of the only ones in my circle of friends without a concealed carry license.
I'd just like to say (without wanting to start an April2013-style-debate) that I'm pretty pro-gun.
That being said, I will not be carrying a gun in my boobs. Ever. I rarely say "never" but I think I can safely say I will never have a gun between my boobs willingly.

Right now I am a little low on boob space. I don't think a chapstick would fit, much less a gun.

I thought the whole boob comment was odd. That just seems uncomfortable.

I think this has something to do with where we grew up.
Probably. I mean, half the trucks in our school parking lot had hunting rifles across the back seats. Nobody thought anything of it. But I understand that the world is a crazy place.
I don't have a concealed gun permit, although DH has been encouraging me to lately because he works such crazy hours. I know how to quickly access the guns in our house (secured in a safe) and can use them if I ever needed to. I'm pretty content with that.

DH and me were very seriously looking into gun permits when I got pregnant. We wanted a new hobby to distract from infertility. We wanted to start hunting and I seriously wanted a bow and arrow. Katniss obsession? A little... In all seriousness though we also wanted it for protection but it was going to be in a lock box, not in my kid's diaper bag or my thong.

I'd have a better shot at hiding a gun in this rack than my pre-pregnancy rack. Maybe a gun the size of chapstick would have fit.

We are very pro-gun in my family...I've grown up with them around. DH has guns in the house. But I can't say I would ever be packing heat between the girls...the thought of it cracks me up.
ETA: it also reminds me of the scene in bridesmaids where Melissa McCarthy tries to convince the ranger she could hide a gun in her butt. (I have got to get off mobile...the gifs I could post!)

Yep, and they got several days off for hunting season that were excused
I love having someone in TB world who doesn't think I come from an alien planet.

We don't keep guns in the house. But I'm not bothered by people that do. Most of the people that have them at home, are the safest ones out there. The boob thing cracks me up tho!
Wow! This probably surprises me more because I'm Canadian and we can't carry a concealed weapon but I had no idea that many women would actually be wearing guns. Nuts! But I guess if you grow up around it it makes total sense!
Where's all our Texas ladies? I feel like they can tell us how crazy this actually is there
I'm in Texas -- though, granted, blue-state Texas, aka Austin, though it's still pretty gun-friendly. And my eyebrows just about shot off the top of my head reading the first couple of pages of that thread. There is a whole lotta crazy up in there.
I don't have my concealed carry, but I'd say close to 95% of my family does. I've considered getting mine, it just hasn't been a priority so it hasn't happened. My mom always carried one in her purse. It even has a special slot under it just for your gun. I'd be totally fine carrying.
They are just crazy. Someone tried to redirect the conversation to belly bands and I thought they were going to say, just put the gun in your belly band!
Their post did make me think about investing in some mace though.

I'm Canadian too and am floored by this. It would honestly never even occur to me to have a gun in our home, never mind on my body!!!!

I can't imagine walking around with one, especially with one between my boobs.
I have a mase-holster in my bra.
