Does your SO have facial hair?

mine has a beard, and has for quite a few years.  i can't stand anything else: mustaches, goatees, soul patches (shudddderr especially at this one)

i just read an article that razor sales are significantly down due to everyone growing a beard, circa 1972 lol.  oh AND some people are having BEARD TRANSPLANTS if they can't grow them on their own. wtf!

Re: Does your SO have facial hair?

  • LOL at beard transplants!

yes, i can count on one hand the number of times DH has been clean shaven since i met him 15 years ago.  he usually has some sort of facial hair -- goatee, full beard, rockin' chops...   i probably like the full beard best.   definitely a facial hair fan.   his family doesnt like it, but i trump them.  LOL

  • My FI has a beard, but still buys razors to clean up his beard. And I agree with @tyrannosaurusbeck I like my FI with facial hair rather than clean shaven. He looks like a 16 year old when he is clean shaven!
  • My DH is in the military so has to be clean shaven most of the time. But I absolutely LOVE him with facial hair. I find him sexier... more.. rough and tumble I guess.  He always grows out a light beard when he has enough days of leave lined up.

  • I prefer DH without facial hair but, he does look pretty hot when he has a trimmed goatee and a little bit of a mustache.

Yes.  This was in January before we found out about our LO.  Don't mind the beer.  :) He does shave it down in the summer though, but it's still there.

  • DH almost always has facial hair of some style or another.  right now he's beard and mustache and scruffy, though he'll likely clean up the scruffy in a day or two.

  • I like DH clean shaven. Some of his old ID pictures show him with a goatee or a mustache and I think they make him look weird, like a terrorist or something. Kind of weird to say, but you'd have to see it. Anyway, now if he goes more than a couple days without shaving, I tell him he's looking scruffy. I don't dig the look, and the scruff is scratchy!

Dh has a short beard and goatee year round, more like some scruff, but he starts growing out the beard about Sept. 1 and then doesn't shave it off until spring.  He does keep it nice and neat and shaves his neck up to he jaw line.  His beard seems to be the envy of other men as I've been with him when men have stopped him to compliment him on his beard, LOL.  I about died laughing the first time it happened but then happened again and again.

  • My DH has like a little gotee (sp?). He is not hairy at all and has never used a straight edge razor! He just buzzes his mustache hair like once a month! I'm by far the hairier of the two...lol

  • Let's put it this way, DH shaves once a week. He is part Native American and facial hair (or body hair) is not something he has to worry about to much.

  • Mine does not.  He is military and has to be clean shaven.

He also cannot grow a beard.  He has bald patches and it comes in in 3 different colors.  He is not one that can pull off facial hair.  He grew a mustache during his deployment and I told him he looked creepy and it had to go.

  • DH has scruff and I hate him clean shaven he looks 16 it's so weird.

  • Mine has a light beard. He can't grow a crazy thick one so it's a shorter version of a beard. I feel like guys with dark hair (usually italian, greek, etc) are the professional beard growers. He's a closet ginger (hair has an auburn tint but his body hair comes in more red) so it doesn't really work.
  • I'm about to really freak CV out now

DH insists on a mustache most of the time, and he is a ginger, lmfao

I think he looks cutest with a beard, but he's one of those guys who can pull off any hairstyle and any facial hair, so I tell him to do what he wants to do, he's a cutie either way.

  • My dh is pretty clean shaving most of the time. There are some days (on the weekends) that he doesnt shave, so then he has some scuff and I like that. But full on beard no thanks.

  • My DH usually has scruff because it grows so fast, but he's never had a full beard (which I'm totally fine with). I like him clean-shaven :)

  • Haha.  MH couldn't grow a beard if he had 10 years to do it.  His facial hair grows slowish in weird patches.  He really doesn't have a lot of body hair in general.  His chest is pretty smooth minus the occasional random nipple hair. lol
  • My husband has a goatee, and has since he got out of the Navy...I think being in the armed forces and not being allowed to grow facial hair makes a man want facial hair! HAHA. He looks too young without it; I like the goatee.

  • Hubby is clean shaven at the moment, but come winter he will let it grow mountain man style.  I think he is sexy either way, but I always miss his little butt chin when he has a beard.

When my husband got out of the Navy he went a good 3 months not shaving, and I had to drag him to get his hair cut! He was in since he was 18 for 6 years so that was hos way of rebeling when he got out! He looked like a Mexican terrorist! At least at this point he trims it so its very short!

  • My husband has a goatee.  It is not my favorite, but he prefers it.  He shaves for special occasions like our wedding and any time we are getting nice photos done - or if he knows he needs to make up some brownie points for something. :)
  • A beard transplant?! WTF, so weird!

Yeah, MH has facial hair, it's not a full beard, but not a chinstrap either - it's a little in between. I like how he looks with facial hair, but his dad (who he works for) hates it and thinks it's unprofessional. Luckily, my opinion is #1 so he keeps it because I think he looks sexy :)

  • DH pretty much always has had facial hair of some kind since we began dating it 2003.  It used to be just a goatee and now it is a full beard.

  • My DH seems to grow a beard in 3 days...I hate it.  He likes to really grow it out sometimes to gross me out on purpose for a couple months.  He does not get laid those months and I tell him to pick the nits out of it. LOL

  • Depends on the day of the week tbh. DH's company has a dress code that says men can have a full beard/goatee or clean shaven, nothing in between. So, during the week he's clean and stubbles on the weekend. I prefer him with stubble as he has a really young face and looks like he's 17 or so clean. Though, I also think part of my preference has to do with the fact that MIL can't stand him with any facial hair and always gives out about it, I just have to disagree to get at her sometimes, ha!

  • DH has had a beard for the last 3 years.  He loves it and so do I.  It totally suits him and looks great.  Beards are awesome :-)
  • Nope no beard. He tried to grow a goatee a few years ago, but he looked horrible with it.

  • I would get upset if he shaved his face lol

  • My hubby has a beard sometimes, clean shaven other times - mostly because he only shaves randomly or if he's trying to look cleaned up for some reason.  The beard never gets too thick, more of like a 3 day shadow.  His face is so handsome that when he shaves off the scruff I can't help but want to eat him up!

As for goatees and flavor savors - yuck!  Ultimate turn-off!  And those disgusting long chin things - bleck!

A mustache on the right man can work, but can tend to either look too hipster or too Village People IMO....
