So Frustrated--discharged from L&D

So after NST this morning and scheduling of induction a week from today, contractions picked up and were regular but light at 3 mins apart. They just didn't feel very serious, but my mom and DH were both convinced it was the real deal. I called the midwife on call to ask when I should come I, since we live an hour from hospital and labor with DD went quickly. Got a midwife I hadn't seen (works out of their other office) and she told me to come right in. I was very skeptical, but thought maybe everyone else was right. Checked in triage, only dilated 1-2, walked with DH for almost two hours, no change. Given our options, got a hotel room near hospital for the night. So frustrated and discouraged. Tomorrow (Saturday) I'm 41 weeks. Contractions got stronger, but spaced out. This has been so very different than with DD. trying not to be too discouraged, but OMG!

sorry that happened! I was discharged twice before I was actually 3-4 cm and they let me stay! The third time around, I didn't want to go home even if I hadn't progressed yet.

I'm sorry.

That happened to me this time with DD. I was having regular contractions and have to drive an hir to get to the hospital... So everyone convinced me to go. Got sent home. Contractions fizzled out. It was very frustrating.

Hopefully, yours start up again and you see your baby soon!

Same here! Had regular mild contractions for 8 hours straight. Those last 3 I had spent in L and D triage then I got sent home. It's very disappointing to get sent away!

Ugh I'm sorry, that happened to me too and it was so frustrating! It was so different than my first baby, when the first contraction was the real deal. It made figuring out when to go to the hospital very difficult. However, sounds like you had a good gut feeling and I bet when you actually do go into labor you will know immediately that its the real deal. Hope it's soon!!
