I consider myself Christian. But I don't align with most other Christians. I believe Christ was the Messiah, but I don't believe in a lot of the teachings of evangelical churches in the united states.

I was raised Catholic but no longer identify as Catholic. I have some fundamental disagreements with the church now. I would like to belong to a different faith, but I haven't taken the time to "shop around."

Christian. Like church going every Sunday and Wednesday night for caregroupwith strong relationships with our church family members outside of church events kind of Christian. Not the Easter & Christmas type. Just for clarification.

Ha ha this is us too . We're quite involved with leadership and we also have a very close, strong relationship with our church family. It's definitely a main aspect in our lives.
I was raised Christian, but consider myself agnostic, now.
However, I direct several music ensembles at a church, and am therefor pretty active. The way I see it, I may not believe what the people at my church believe, but I believe in them, and their ability to be a force for good in the world, and I support that.

Agnostic bordering on Atheist (raised Catholic). I believe there is a spiritual side to the universe, but I am not a bible person. I mostly just believe in doing good and being good.

I'm a Christian. I go to a non denominational church. Our music is not traditional more Christian Rock and we wear jeans or whatever, but the teaching is straight from the bible. I volunteer in the nursery and my oldest volunteers with 2Cnd and 3rd grade kids.

This is us, too! Non denominational Christian and I volunteer in the nursery twice a month.
DH and I are both Catholic, though I was raised Catholic with a heavy Methodist influence. We were married Methodist. DD was baptised and will be raised Catholic.
My mom was raised Catholic and I received communion and reconciliation as a child, but I only went to church when visiting my grandparents. My mom never went to church. When we moved away from my grandparents when I was around 11, I never went to church again until I was an adult and went on my own.
I am hard to describe. Maybe Agnostic? I have my own certain beliefs and thought that I didn't fit in anywhere. Then I found Unity Church and they teach just about everything I believe- they identify as Christian, but it is not Christian like most people would think of.
Since we moved to another state, there is no Unity church where we live. The closest one is 1.5hrs away. I would like to attend church and have DS involved in church, but I am torn about attending one that I don't believe most of the same things as them.

I second this.
I guess I "third" this. However, I wasn't raised with any particular religion.
We are Anglican. DH works for our church so we are ALWAYS there. We tease we are going to pitch a tent :P. We also lead the junior youth group and are in charge of the spring Cantata/Musical.
I was raised Mormon, my parents and one sibling are still active members. I disagreed with a number of fundamental teachings starting around age 16. Went to church to be respectful to my parents until 18. DH has no religious affiliation. I guess I consider myself Non-denominational Christian, though we do not attend church. Oddly enough my very Mormon father best described my feelings. God is perfect, religion-directed and led by man, is not.

My family is a Foreign Service family. Families like mine are posted in every corner of the globe. We live our lives away from family, friends and the conviences and comforts of home. We often live and work in dangerous places among those that misunderstand our intentions and purposes. Sometimes members of our ranks sacrifice our lives to further diplomacy. Please remember that we serve too. And I'm always open to questions.
Christian. I was raised Methodist and we attend a non denominational church now. We're very involved in our church and our faith is a big part of our lives.
I knew I loved you! I was raised Baptist. My Papaw is a Baptist minister. I call myself "Christian", but I'm definitely rooted Baptist.
For clarification: I believe Baptist. I am muscially more liberal than that... I like a good mix of the old hymns and the newer contemporary stuff. My Mom, Sister, and I were in the church band together for a few years until we moved churches. (long story... heartbreaking church split.... )

I am Christian, Baptist to be more specific. Both DH and I were raised Baptist, although I was raised in a Full Gospel Baptist Church. We are currently members in the church DH grew up in.
We are working on becoming more active in church because it is how we both grew up and hope to raise DD the same way.

Re: Taboo poll...
Methodist
Ooops, once again I almost forgot to answer my own question again.
I'm Christian. DH and I are members of a Christian Reformed Church, but it isn't nearly as traditional as most of them are.

Christian, raised and still attend Methodist.
I study the teachings of the Bible and try to live my life by that example. I know I fall short, but I try.
For me, I have a hard time reconcilling "spiritual" with "religion" because I feel like it is a cop out.
Should have saved that for FFFC I guess...
