I guess it depends how much he/she gets attached to it. I would say Pacifier or Paci for now and if he/she still like it when speaking begins, it will be named by him/her
With DS, we just called is a pacifier. He gave it up on his own after a few months, so we never used a nickname. If this little one wants the pacifier longer, maybe paci, but that's as "cutesy" as I can get on pacifier names.
