I cut out caffeine largely when BFing DD, but chai has become my go-to. Still has some caffeine. Too much caffeine makes me jittery. If I get lattes, I do half-caf or I'm a shaking jittery mess in a few hours.
eTA: I also have the occasional Dr Pepper because that shit is delicious. The caffeine in pop is pretty minimal so I don't think twice about it.

I haven't drank coffee since BFP, but I need it! Early pregnancy + 5th graders = grumpy teacher! I was a regular coffee drinker during the school year, but stopped during the summer. I haven't started back up yet. My go-to is caramel vanilla creme k cups. Mmmmmmm
I ha ent had coffee since I found out about my BFP, but I am going to take to my dr because I work overnights and I really need something to keep me awake
I don't like coffee, but I LOVE tea. Unfortunately, it doesn't always like me right now. I generally do one cup of tea a day (usually in the morning), and then I MIGHT do one soda in the afternoon if I'm really dragging.
Half calf cafe au lait. With some brown sugar in the raw and a dash of cinnamon. Best treat ever. Long live Starbucks and their unlimited combinations.
i love coffee. LOVE IT. I want some right now. BUT I told myself I would stop while preggers, My Earth Mama Angel Baby Peaceful Mama tea with Stevia with have to do. Sigh....
I used to have 2 cups every morning but now I can only drink half a cup and then I don't want it anymore. I switched my afternoon latte to decaf and still enjoy it.
I have a two-year-old and an eight-month-old. I'm not about to stop drinking coffee. That said, my pre-pregnancy pot a day wasn't exactly good for me anyway, so I've gone to doing half-caff, 2-3 cups a day. In the afternoon I like to have a glass of coffee with milk and sugar over ice. Some days I have one of those in the afternoon to make it through til the girls' bedtime. I think the big thing is balancing intake with water. I have a glass of water before my cup of coffee in the morning. Research has proven it to be pretty effective for getting going in the morning, since you so badly need to rehydrate.
I'm sipping my coffee right now Just one cup, but I never drank more than that anyways (and don't have it every day). I woke up yawning after 8 hours of sleep, I definitely needed it today!!
Married the love of my life June 18, 2011 -- Me (28) DH (29)
I've actually cut it out this time around. It certainly doesn't help that 1st tri exhaustion compounded with no caffeine is brutal.
That being said, I've had a total of two cups since I found out I was pregnant because I was going to be up late at an event and I couldn't keep my eyes open at dinner.
I had about 2 cups a coffee a daily and then I cut it out once I got the BFP. Its interesting because I just stopped craving it, until yesterday morning. I went to Starbucks and got one, and it tasted great. I now miss it and will still have one every now and then. It was truly like a treat for me yesterday
So far with this pregnancy I have not even wanted a cup of coffee. It's weird because making a pot of coffee was the first thing I would do every morning when I woke up. I've had a cup here and there but it definitely hasn't been a "must have" like it used to be.
I'm drinking 1/2 to 1 cup a day, same as before finding out I'm pregnant. I'm a coffee shop manager so I'll give you some tips: a regular small cup of coffee is about 200 mg of caffeine, a single shot of espresso is 50-75 mg of caffeine, so switching to lattes will cut back your caffeine a bit. By contrast a cup of tea has about 50 mg, as does a hot chocolate. A soda has around 25 mg of caffeine, except Mtn Dew which has 55 mg. Studies suggest up to 300 mg of caffeine daily will have no adverse affects on baby. Hope this helps!
I have about a half cup in the morning, sometimes a whole cup. Some days I make a latte later in the day if I need it when the kids are out of school to get through.

I drink 1 cup a day. Well, it's actually 2 measuring cup's worth, but I call it 1 cup because that's how much fills my coffee mug, so whatever. If it's good coffee, I drink it black; if it's cheap, gut-rot coffee, I add a bunch of milk and a bit of stevia. I'll use sugar instead if it's a flavored syrup.
I had made my own batch of less than half caf. Then my friends came over and discovered my secret. One friend told me the chemicals they use to take out the caffeine is worse for you than the caffeine. I haven't researched to see if this is true but I know she has researched a lot bc of family issues. That being said, I now no longer want coffee most of the time. That might change when my 5am alarm and hour plus commute begin again.
I drink as much as I need to. It's usually 1-2 cups and a cup of green tea in the afternoon. This is the same as my pre-pregnancy habits. If I drink a caffeinated soda, I skip the tea
I slowly got back on the coffee train after DS was born, but now I'm transitioning to chai. I bought myself an espresso machine a few months back, so I'll have some decaf lattes when the need arises. I save my bigger caffeine intake for migraine days!
