Chalk another one up for someone who isn't a fan of either name; however, if I had to pick between the two I would go with Autumn. I just cannot see calling someone December, as it's not a real name to me.
my first response was not favorable, but I think it's growing on me. December, nn Ember... I just finished a book with a character named October who went by Toby, and "The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making" was named September (no nn).
December isn't a name I'd go with but it's ok. Noelle? Or if your not religious Winter. If you like December would you use a nickname. December seems long.
Re: Name Poll
Autumn is NMS.
I wouldn't side-eye December. Lots of people have month (and even weekday) names. I prefer PP suggestion of Winter, and I also like just Ember, too.
ETA: DD2 has a weird name. It's really not a big deal.
ETA: If you choose Winter. Use that spelling. No Y!
Please do not name a baby Wynter! @-)

I also like Winter (but definitely not Wynter).
Autumn is a beautiful, safe choice.
