I have a terrible pepsi addiction. I drink one a day if I don't have any in the house. If I buy a case, I'll drink 3 a day. I was the same way with DD1 except I would buy a case and drink just one can a day.

With dinner? Not caffeine but I'm very sensitive to it. I typically have 1-2 Dr. Peppers a day. Thats about 90mg of caffeine a day which is ok.
I didn't have any caffeine at all when I was pg with DS1, then after he was born I read that if you didn't have caffeine while pregnant then your BFed baby might be more sensitive to caffeine! So then I was terrifed to drink caffeine after he was born and didn't have any until he was 10 months old.
I keep it moderation now. I get crazy soda cravings so I drink La Croix which is basically sparkling water and it seems to satisfy my soda craving without all the caffeine and sugar.
I get horrible caffeine headaches. I was a two cup a day prior to getting pregnant and went cold turkey for almost all of the first 12 weeks. Now if I get a headache I don't think twice before getting a coke to fix it, it's gotta be better than a tylenol.

I would personally be more concerned with aspertame in diet soda rather than the caffeine content.
AGREED! that's why I was saying its just another reason why..... I have avoided artificial sweetners like aspertame my entire life because my neurologist always told me they are terrible for you.

We don't keep pop in the house, but on the rare occasion there is I allow myself 1 can a day. If I'm out, I'll have 1 or 2 glasses of Dr. Pepper at a restaurant. I'm not a coffee drinker so that doesn't affect me.
I had no caffeine in the first trimester. But in the second trimester my taste for coffee came back, so now I'll have my one cup of coffee in the morning and sometimes a cup of regular or decaf tea in the afternoons.

@SunflowersBride - lol pre-pregnancy we never had cheese (some parmesan maybe as an exception for pasta), but once I was pregnant bagels and cheddar cheese and cream cheese were my go-to. Trust me, his eating habits were a big adjustment for me. But, I have seen a lot of benefits to eating more vegetarian-based and dairy-free (menstrual cycles were less painful, cystic acne disappeared, better energy etc).
But with the pregnancy, I eat what I want and when I want.

I'm not a big soda drinker, but I was a big fan of espresso pre-pregnancy. I cut everything out for the first trimester, then after meeting with a nutritionist and confirming with my doctor, I started again. I was told 2 cups of coffee a day, or 1 shot of espresso is fine. I usually get a small latte every other day, or a large black iced tea/lemonade. Sometimes I go over and get 2 shots of espresso, but it's rare. My nutritionist said that it's really only detrimental if you drink 4- 6 cups every day. But who knows.
One small cup of coffee in the am (per recommendations of my ob) and a delicious coke can in the afternoon here and there. Screw that diet and decaf crap...I want the real thing!
With DD I avoided all caffeine the entire pregnancy. I'm not a big caffeine drinker to begin with and never drink soda anyway. This time, mostly because I've been getting pretty bad migraines, I have caffeine here and there. Coffee or iced tea.
I drink one Advocare Spark a day. It seriously saves my life. I wish I could have more than one, but that would be too much caff for the day. Some days I also have a decaf coffee, but that is very rare.
